Have been looking in various "performance" mods for my 2015 Pro-4x. Came across the Intake Spacer by XTP. Can anyone that actually has this installed give me the low down on it? I saw the Dyno charts on the website, but I am looking for real world feedback. Thanks.

The consensus on this forum is that it's the best performance mod for the money. Doesn't really add to the peak HP and TQ numbers (maybe 10-15 boost) but you get a large chunk in the meat of the RPM range.

Here's a link to the group buy thread with a lot of reviews and every once in a while someone gets another group buy going and it gets added to this thread.

I've had one on my truck for about a year now and am happy with the purchase. Noticeable torque gains down low.
But I would agree with whats stated above, if someone installed it without you knowing, you probably couldn't tell. You would just think you have a "good tank of gas" or something.

I bought mine directly from XTP selecting the group buy option and they shipped it right away.

They work as advertised and are worth it imo. I noticed gains down low immediately after install and approximately 3 years later my truck has been nothing but reliable.

i found a really old thread last year (the thread was like 10 years old) where someone did post an actual dyno sheet picture of an IMS run but the link to the dyno screen image was gone... IIRC per the comments it was a good torque gain (like around 30) around 2500-3000 rpm but I can't recall for sure.

Has anyone ever used Virtual dyno with the Frontier? I have no idea if we can generate the proper logs, i used to use this with another car I had in the past. https://barnhill.bitbucket.io/

That YT video above i can't read anything on the dyno computer screen, nor is there a before number. It's pretty much worthless as far as I can tell.

Looks like that requires datalogs... That page doesn't have much info on the software.

The Torque app for Android has a dyno feature that tries to estimate horsepower and torque, but I have no idea how (in)accurate it is.

I contacted him a week ago.

He replied immediately but still no IMS yet.

I think my order must've slipped through the cracks and it's having to be cut.

Hey, accidents happen, it's just disappointing when others in the group buy are all receiving theirs and yours is in limbo.

I'll post a full review when I get it installed.

I don't tow or have oversized tires. Just a sv v-6 auto trans. I drive a lot of highway miles usually 75-85. That puts me around 2200-2500 rpms. I now have to watch it it pulls alot better and with no effort I'm doing 90. This may be placebo but putting around town and I'm in a high gear low rpm situation, when I would gradually accelerate I felt a split second hesitation. . As if the truck was trying to decide if it needed to downshift etc.
Not any more she just goes. Glad I found this site and the spacer. God knows I've paid way more for something that did alot less. It works.

Installed mine this week, definitely an improvement. Seems I'm getting better fuel mileage as well, but I'll wait til this whole tank has run through to determine.

Much happier starting and driving on inclines.

If I indeed am seeing a jump in fuel economy I'd say this is certainly a damn fine investment, even without the truck does seem happier and has a more truck like torque curve. IMO.

I just installed one about 2 weeks ago. Noticeable improvement in mid-range performance, but not so astounding it would blow your mind. I don't have any issues with getting up to speed when I punch it. I like it. Took about 2 hours to install, and I wasn't in any hurry at all.

I've also gone to running premium gas, and there is a station a few miles away that has it ethanol-free to boot. My daily commute is about 100 miles roundtrip, about 30% on the expressway, the rest is county miles (~ 6-70mph) and 10 miles of stoplights. I'm getting just shy of 17mpg.

Old post but I just now got around to installing mine. Those that say it only took them an hour either disassemble their frontiers daily or sit there posting with their pants on fire! Lol. Figured I'd drop some 411 for future mods. Hardest part for me was getting off the brake booster hose from back of manifold so I took it off the booster and unclipped it from bracket next to booster then was able to grab it next to manifold and twist it off after sliding spring clamp back. Plus you don't have to disconnect the harness that is right next to it, just move bracket and big wire harness out of the way. The solenoid under the engine cover I unbolted to access manifold bolts, but left vacuum lines connected and unplugged wire harness like in video as there is no need to remove the switch thing where the harness plugs in. When removing studs I used someone else's idea (can't remember who to give credit) of threading nuts onto stud then using wrench to back them out. Mine were fairly easy being a 2018. I will say to unscrew them till only 2-3 threads are still in block or they'll be too short to grab when manifold with spacer is slid back in place. When everything was tightened back down (I used orange loctite on stainless manifold fasteners) the bracket that holds engine cover and intake hose was contacting a vacuum solenoid on front of manifold so I loosened bracket and slightly notched it around solenoid. I used a couple of oversized nuts as spacers between bracket and intake hose assembly for proper clearance and removed top stud for engine cover so I could still use cover. All in all not too bad but not something I'd recommend for the big mitt crew. Lol. Haven't had chance to try it out except for cranking it up to be sure everything is back in place.
Pic of solenoid unbolted to access manifold bolts and I later removed engine cover stud.

No turning back now!

Don't judge me by my dirt carrying capabilites!😝

Good to see these still going strong since I dyno'd them what, 15 years ago.....lol
