Hello! My name is Dean Hazen. I live in Urbana, IL. I have a 2004 Frontier V6 SC that I just LOVE however.....I need more power out of it. I've searched high and low and I fail to find any sort of engine Upgrades. When I bought the truck, it already had a smaller pulley on the SC. It has a cold air intake and a spacer.

I'd love to upgrade the computer and do other upgrades but I can't find anything else for it.

    Any information is greatly appreciated.

If you would be so kind, please email me at: [email protected]

thanks for response. very informative.. Courtesy did the timing chain work on mine at about 111,052 miles. now have about 115,900 on it. I have an appointment on the 4th to get the AWD Control Unit (diagnosed as problem) replaced as it is taking appx 2-5 minutes for it to come back out of 4WD.. (Code P1808) I will ask them to correct the timing issue when I am there. They also replaced both motor mounts at 115,900 and they are telling me one of them is already bad ? Curious to me, with only street driving and 4800 miles on it since last repair ? Any thoughts ? Jim

What cams would you recommend for the 4.0?
Would you choose your Crowers again, or go for the Wolfs?

    Hey Brutal,
I read you where running some stage 2 Brian Crower Cams? Looking for a set myself, but can't seem to find what I need. Heard that the VQ35DE ones work - correct?

I ran stock with deavers then later prg 10 packs. Wanna buy my revolvers? I was thinking about putting them back on with 6pack double extension shocks, but, well just got too much other stuff going on

When you ran the revolvers, what did you have on for leaf packs? I still have stocks on right now with the SST shackles, I plan on changin them out.

Congratulations on your truck of the year honors. The truck looks awesome. I am sure you're getting hit up by a lot of people asking a lot of questions. And I apologize for being part of the horde of inquiring minds. Let me get to the point I have been scouring this form for a few days trying to find information on how you mounted your rack on the factory roof rack. Unfortunately I was not able to find anything. Do you have any post that show what you used to mount the rack onto the factory rack? If not would it be possible to find out what you used to mount the rack. Thank you in advance, I look forward to your response.

Hey Brutal, just wondering where you got the toolboxes that are on top of your truck. I'm looking into doing something similar with the roof rack.

    Hey Bill!

Hope things are going well over there! Hot has Hades over here...91 with a heat index of 104! And we haven't hit the hottest part of the day yet!

Anyway, the reason I'm writing is that I'm curious how you got the wiring for your overhead lights up on top of the cab. Did you drill a hole in the roof? Run them up between the cab and the shell? I've recently found some LED strip lights that would be great campsite lighting and am considering attaching them to the rack.

Also have you seen the CBI tire carriers? They have one that is hitch mounted and looks decent. They've had one before but this one looks more substantial, plus it has a license plate mount and a hi-lift mount too.

    Best regards,
