Is anyone having issues with their filter falling off? Every time I open my hood the filter has come off the intake tube. I've made sure everything is tight but it keeps coming off.

fire23medic, i had the same problem until I used a nut driver or socket wrench to tighten the hose clamp. no problems since.

I got mine from atopartswarehouse. $83 and change. Went right on, with the exception I had to buy a 5/8" hose, as the one in the kit was too small. the kit says 2006 to 2010. I have an 05. That was the only issue. Runs good, sound great. Decided to break out the pressure washer and clean off the underside of the hood and engine....
AND as an unrelated update.... after months of searching, I found 2 silver doors in primo condition off an 05 nismo just like mine (to replace the 2 pass side doors that I scraped on a tree). shipped here to atlanta, for $1200. was so much better than the quotes from $1800-2100 to repair and repaint. PLUS, I now have 2 spare window motors, power locks, and 1 door handle. Gonna scrap the old doors for salvage.

For those that put heatshielding stuff in the box, what did yall use? Something like foil tape for heating ducts or sound deadener sheets? Also, should you put it on the inside or the outside or does it matter?

So I live in the only state that doesnt allow this intake, CA... If I bought it, would anyone be kind enough to let it get shipped to them, and then allow me to pay you to ship it to me? Preferably a state close to CA to avoid high shipping costs...

Same =/ I tried to get it shipped in two orders to avoid the CA laws.. They wouldn't do it.. :thatswck:

I have been looking all over the internet for this air intake for an 04 XE but I can not find one. The closest I found fits an 01-03...BUT, isn't the 04 the same gen?? why wouldn't it fit???
