The meet is next week. Im so excited to be going you guys dont even know. My thing is with alot of people discussing the pro's & con's to the sway bar removal. I want to you what you guys really think. Because i will be taking it off tomorrow and driving without it till the meet. So if you guys would be so kind. It would help me figure out what to do.

Thanks alot for anyone who gives me feedback.

I personally have left mine on, has not bugged me wheeling with it. If you want to take it off go for it, you can always put it back on if you don't like the new feel.

it's not hard to take off or put on. With it off it lets your suspention work like it should.. but with out good socks I'm not sure how well it will do on the road.. but it's an easy mod to do and undo so I would say try it// most people that try it with them off never put them back on.

Appreciate the post guys but please let's stay on topic.

I have mine off with stocks suspension...felt no difference on or off road.

The roads around here are getting to be crap. So i know with my beefier tires plus only a 2"lift w/ bilsteins in the rear. I already have a pretty damn near stable ride.

jtex and brock - you two need to chill.

to the OP - as others have said - its an easy mod to take off and put on, so why not give it a try? with the winding roads i drive, it will never come off for me. if i was 4x4'n more often than not, i could definitely see the benefits in not having the sway bar on

i took mine off last weekend when i put on my radflows and uca's handles just fine but with sharp turns and hard braking definitly more noticable without it but i say "just do it "

Just take it off. Mine has been off since a month after i bought the truck.

There's a definite advantage to removing or disconnecting the sway bar to increase articulation off road. I drove my 95 Pathfinder without sway bars for over 4yrs, and even drove it from California to Pennsylvania with no sway bars. Part of my reasoning was my cross country journey included running Deer Valley Trail (Ca) and Hell's Revenge Trail in Moab.

I have yet to modify my Frontier, so I cannot comment on how it handles without sway bars...in my opinion, try removing the sway bars and determine whether or not the increased off-road articulation warrants potentially compromising on-road handling (if at all) based your needs and driving habits.

I have my rear sway bar off, but I AM NOT taking off the front lol

i need to take video of my truck taking a corner. you guys seem really worried about rolling your trucks rolling over or something... it takes more than you probably think.
I had someone following me yesterday, and I was just driving normally (quickly) and apparently my front inside tire mostly leaves the ground when I turn lol

just take them both off dude. don't be a vagina. i guarantee you won't have half the sway i get and i drive to/from the trails all the time. just don't drive it like a freakin racecar and you are good to go.

2nd gens dont have rear sway bars roast ;)

id take the sway bar off and leave it off if you have a good set of coil overs otherwise leave it on and disconnect it before the trail run then put it back on afterwards

i drive on the road significantly more than I do offroad, so I'm leaving mine on. 55k miles i've put on it since new 17 months ago. That's a lot of driving on the road.

How much flex is gained my removing the sway bar?

I took mine off when I did the Titan Swap. To tell you the truth I think it makes the truck feel completly unstable on the street. I am positive it should help off road but I dont fell very safe with it off. Everytime i get in the truck I look up at the sun visor and see the "flip over sticker" and I want it back on even more. Just try it out its real easy :)

what shocks are you unrunning?I have slid mine sideways several time corniner to fast, or this one time I hit a jump next to the road and half the truck land on pavment and half thetruck hit dirt ened up sideways down the roa for 10-15 feet never felt like it was going to flip.. but then my shock cost more then most peoples mods.

Indeed you do, enough to make my cousin,(which was recording the video), sick
I drive 4, sometimes 5 days a week and school is only 6 miles away each way on the street on a road with no opportunity for body roll....that and I'll have a new DD in the next month hopefully so I'm :chillpill:

my front inside tire comes off the ground when i turn sharp and fast. but the truck never makes me scared. it takes a lot to make a vehicle flip over. and i have more lift than most people on the forum and i have had mine off since calmini lift.

imo it gives more body roll, but not enough for me to really worry about or care about.

if one of my tires comes off the ground on the street, i'm going over.
watching danny's vid, it doesn't even look that bad. just take it off.
