Just for information's sake the harmonic balancer has nothing to do with "balancing" the crankshaft as someone stated. It's function is to dampen the twisting forces on the crank. every time a cylinder fires that rod journal twists forward for a micro-second then snaps back. The heavy harmonic balancer absorbs these pulses and "dampens" them for longevity of your engines internals.

I had the Stillen stock sized aluminum pulley on my R51 and took it off. It appeared to me that they made the snout stock size and used a Redi-sleeve on it so the seal would have a good surface to ride on, rather than on the aluminum. This makes the pulley a real tight fit with the seal and the seal tends to leak after a short while...and then the pulley is real hard to slide off because of the tight fit. And, yes, I put wheel bearing grease on the seal before I installed the crank pulley.
