Sort of old news.....(y)

From what I have read the transmission has to be removed to do the PC984 transmission solenoid replacement. The Card I got for this from Nissan says approx. 1 hour, so why are some guys saying the Dealer removed the transmission? This will piss me off. if this is true I may gamble on this and pass for now, I have a new 2023 Pro4x Frontier with only 1700 miles. I have no faith in the techs to do this work, some are in a hurry they do not get paid much from Nissan, so they could care less if it is done correctly.

I was in and out in less than 45 minutes with the transfer case switch campaign.

Do you know what the process was to remove and install the new part?
Watching from the waiting room, it appeared to be lifting the vehicle and with a wrench removing some bolts and disconnecting the sensor removing and replacing. Might have been some other small things done but from the time I gave them the remote (after signing the work order) to when I noticed they were vacuuming out all the dog fur in the front seats it was 45 minutes.

I think this info is false, someone got confused with the Pawl pin recall.

There are two types of recalls related to the parking pawl issue. One is the physical replacement of the pawl pin, usually 3-4 hours depending on how versed/experienced the tech is. The other is a reflash of the TCM, about one hour. Again, depends on the the VIN of the vehicle.

[/off road.
Minor add-on: 2 vs 4wd will dictate parts and process for pawl pin

Is this it?
