I got the ADO koni kit, kinda debating if I should cancel the order. 285/70/17 with out front flaps and I have no rub on road View attachment 338931
I'm confused!
You got the Koni kit or ordered it?
And you mention the RC lift too?
Your picture shows your truck with factory height, correct?

I ordered it(10/22), still hasn’t shipped yet. But I’m debating if I should cancel it. I was concerned with going up in tire size and having rub. I was between 285/70/17 or 285/75/17. I knew I wanted a 33”. I don’t do any serious off roading so i went with 285/70/17 as a 285/75/17 is pretty much a 34”. Just looking at the tire, I think I’d be good with out a lift and still be able to off road.

Got it!
I'm gonna do the same as you 285/70/17 (factory wheels) but I do want a little height. So I'm on the hunt now to see which lift I'll order.

What lifts are you considering?
Man I dont know!
I've looked at the Truxxx which is just spacers, the Alldog one that uses springs and add a leaf, Koni, Bilstein, Nisstec, etc..
I'm undecided!
I don't off-road except trailing so I think any will be ok. I just want a good ride and something that will last.
And a priority is to preserve the factory Bilstein's. It would be a waste to take those out.

I think I'm gonna go with this:
I've emailed them some questions and after I get a response, I think that's the one I'm gonna go for.
I want to stay away from spacers!
I think that kit with 2.0"/1.5" and 285/70/17 on stock wheels will look perfect.
And I also think it will work well without messing around with any of the stock suspension components that the truck already has.
We'll see!

Just got the same pro 4x blue! It looks amazing, but needed a better stance.
How is 285/70/17 on stock wheels? Did you decide to lift or kept it stock?

It's stock as of right now!
I have my 285/70/17 KO2's sitting in the garage waiting to get installed. I'm waiting for my lift to arrive on Tuesday in order to install everything at the same time. I ended up going all out and ordered the 4" Nisstec suspension lift. I'll post pictures and results in the next couple of weeks when it all gets done.

285’s will fit on factory wheels, same as 2nd gens, but if you plan on using your pro4x for what jt was built for, it will suck.
I had 285’s with lvl 8 wheels and trimmed the hell out of the truck, did a viper cut on the front bumper and still rubbed when aired down. I went back to 265/75/16 and no more problems. I’m lifted 2” with ado springs and 5100’s

What steps rails are those? Thanks..

Same question. Just purchased the 2022 Crew Cab SV in 4x4. Looking to increase tire size without modifications. Thanks.
Good morning, I have this same vehicle and want to do the same. I'm having trouble getting a clear answer concerning how big you can go on it. A car sharp told me you could put 20' rims on it but of course the tire would have less firewall unless you modify the suspension.

On stock suspension you can run a 285/70/17, which is a 32.7” in diameter. You’ll have rub on the mud flaps if you leave them on when turning or no rub if you take them off.

It's going to be tough to get a clear cut answer unless someone has already tried what you specifically want. Since the truck is new, we are all experimenting. To give you an example, I have a 4" lift with factory 17" wheels and 1.5" spacers. I went up 2 sizes to 285/70/17 and I still rubbed. I had to remove mud flaps (as stated above by @Chicky_Hines) and still had some rub which required some mild trimming in the spot that he shows in his pictures. In my case it was because of the 1.5" spacer! Wheel offset will also affect the outcome and the tire brand/model as well. Some tire brands in the same size are a slightly different in size & shape. And if you are looking at 20", that would definitely change things up.
Look at the Rough Country website: 6 Inch Lift Kit | Nissan Frontier 2WD/4WD (2022)
They put 20's on their demo truck but accomplished it with a 6" lift. We also have another member here (@rjcregg81) that did the same. You can see his build here and possibly ask him some questions:

Good luck,
LRod
