I'm currently in the process of trying LT255/85r17 to get fit spacers temp to get offsets right with a 3in lift on both front and rear. i will post when i know. looks like i should have about 1.5 in space front and back of wheel well.
You're gonna love the 255/85s! I have the cooper's and have great traction

It's not. Can't put one on because pro4's come with a factory lift. You have to change shocks (struts) and all. Can't even put a level kit on was what my dealer told me (22 pro4). So pretty expensive, if you don't have a pro4 there is no problem.

Well then call my dealer shop Forman and explain to him for me because that is why he said I couldn't level my pro4.
They just have bilstein suspension, but sit the same. The 1” in ground clearance comes from the tire. The reason is that people who buy the p4x are more likely to go off-road and with a spacer lift you’re more thank likely gonna have cbc

I really just wanted the rake gone. Don't care for the down slope in front. Mine is a commuter and farm truck.
What spacer lift? Rule of thumb is anything over 2” will cause cbc, and you’ll need uca’s. The RC is notorious for cbc since it comes in at 2.5”. Get the nismo one it’s only
1.5” or the ado one that just released.

This is what happens when repeating what a dealership says as gospel.
How often are we, the buyer, more informed than the seller...et al. WAY TOO OFTEN. Sad.

View attachment 349972 I was searching online for any info on how big of a tire I could fit on my 2022 Frontier S without rubbing. My searches kept leading me back to this thread. Apparently not many people have shared their experience with these new pickups so far.
And while nobody seemed to have any input on my specific situation I was able to gather a lot of information reading through your comments and pictures here.
Because of that I decided to join so I could help someone else like me and share my experience.

I have a bone stock 22 Frontier S crew cab short bed with about 120 miles on it.
I'm running a set of Pirelli scorpion all terrain pro 265/75R16 tires on my factory 16's.
They look great, and actually ride nicer than the stock hankook 265/70 tires it came with. I'm still running with my front lower valance and mud guards, with zero rubbing issues under normal driving conditions.

Same with and roughly an inch taller than the stock tires. They filled in the fender a little, and gave me that sidewall/wheel ratio look I was wanting.
I will likely remove the front valance as I'm sure they will rub if I take it off road. But I ran around town all day and had no clearance issues whatsoever.
Did you ever end up taking off the air valences? Did you determine if they would contact the wheel well while off-road? I’ve got an SV as well, and was planning to go up to 31.6 (265/70r17 - equivalent to yours) or even 32.1 (255/75r17) but wanted to leave the air valences on in either case.

31.6" is the stock size for the Pro-4X. Your SV will be fine.

Thanks for the reply Grumpy. I suspect I will go with a 31.6 instead of the 32.1. I do plan on doing a modest (~Front 1.25/Rear .75) suspension lift, and I’ve seen at least one poster say the 32.1 fits with the air valences on. (Again, I plan to leave mine on). But all that said, the 31.6 keeps things that much closer to stock and ensures I won’t regret the tire purchase (I really don’t want to deal with ANY rubbing).
