I see what you are saying about the tailgate/canopy seal. Makes sense.
Just seems odd that on NGHTOWL Off-Road social media page that there are several examples of the seal on the rear door not looking quite right on different trucks. I still have yet to see any real world use reviews of their canopies. I’ve looked on other truck forums and still have yet to see any of their products in use on a legitimately privately owned vehicle. Love the idea/utility of those toppers but man I’d be leery of sending them money for something that may or may not arrive in 14 weeks with a qualifier on their webpage saying it could take even longer and they aren’t responsible for longer waits. By the time the item arrived (if it arrived) you are outside the refund claim window for undelivered items that most credit card companies offer as buyer protection.
Would love to see a verified user review/purchase experience from this company. Only ones I can find are individuals who took a risk on Alibaba and ordered their own. Not many of those reviews out there either but at least there are a few.
I’ve gone the standard way and will be getting a fiberglass Snugtop.

This is from the NGHTOWL Off-Road website-

Nightowl does NOT make these truck caps. These caps cost around $600 off the website Alibaba. They import them and then 3x-4x the price. Buy directly from china, after all the fees you're looking at around $1000 total.

Great cap, 27" high with fabric liner, tool box on drivers side. Same specs that I had on my 2009 Taco, but Frontier is 1" wider & 1" shorter. And a different shade of blue. They had a 6 month backlog in Nov of 23.
