Posting a few pics of the Nismo Off Road Axis wheels on my 3rd gen since I couldn't find any on street trucks when researching for myself. While I enjoyed the design and darker color of the Premium wheels, the faux beadlock look just wasn't my bag of doughnuts...

Despite the Nismo wheels appearing smaller in diameter due to spoke/face design, both wheels are identical in size and offset at 17x7.5 +30mm. The Nismo wheels, however, save a staggering 8-lbs of unsprung rotational mass per corner (give or take a few ounces for valve stem and balancing weights).

Looks great. I really like the Nismos on my 2nd gen. I like that Nissan kept the same wheel specs on the new truck so you can use anything from either platform on the other. I kind of think the 3rd gen standard pro4x Non-beadlock rims would look good on my second gen. I like that most of the 3rd gens are 17’s also which is the perfect rim size IMO.

Got the black lugs off Amazon. It's a 24pc spline drive kit in M12x1.25. Generally lug nuts indicated as "tuner style" will have the taper needed to seat properly on lug-centric aftermarket wheels... The factory Premium wheels also accommodate a tapered seat, so that should work as well.

You can message me regarding the wheels if interested, they're still available.

I’m not sure if the third gen uses the same lug nuts as the second gen but I would imagine they do. The stock lug nuts “worked” on my axis wheels but the coating on them was getting rubbed off pretty bad when torqued to the wheels. They also didn’t have a bulge seat so it was almost as if the taper seat in the Nismo rims was larger than the lug nut seat. They worked to drive on but something about it didn’t feel right which is why Z1 recommends going to others. Myself and a few other people on FB said the same thing too. I was one of the first people to have the wheels and when I took them back off to redo the torque (I never trust discount tire torque), first thing I noticed was how they didn’t feel right.

Also the stock nuts are so tiny that it’s hard to get them onto the lug stud with the deep holes in the Nismos. I ultimately bought a bunch of McGard M12-1.25 bulge seat nuts which are longer and the bulge seat is what the wheels seemed to really need for proper fitment. Keep in mind this is all on a second gen, but considering the things Nissan reused on the 3rd gen, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the tiny stock lug nuts are reused too.

Dude that looks great. I have the s trim and been looking into these rims but I am worried that the wider width of 7.5 vs 7 as I have now would make issues ...how is the clearance in the back of the wheel to the spindle ??? Basically no space? If you could guestimate how much space you have id appreciate it or did they have to do an alignment afterwards ?? I just cant see a wheel that close to the spindle being alright for folks who want bigger tires .i am having a hard time finding info on all of this

I’m seriously considering these new Nismo wheels for my 2018 pro4x. I’m currently running the stock 16 pro4x wheels but am curious as to how different the truck will ride with 265/70’s on 17’s compared to the 265/75 16’s. I gotta think losing 1” of sidewall has to make the truck handle better. The possibility of better handling and the fact that they look bad *** makes me pretty sure I’ll pull the trigger. I already have an offer from my neighbor to buy my wheels if I upgrade so that part is taken care of. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with both sizes and can give me some insight. Cheers

Didn’t really notice much difference in handling but I do like the wheels a lot. Of course handling is very much going to depend on the tire you choose. My Michelin defenders are kind of bubble gum-like. They are pretty soft and give a good bit on turns.

@Truckin we do apologize that we where not able to assist you where you originally requested information, however @Chicky_Hines is spot on. Nissmo wheels are made to fit with factory lug nuts and do not require an aftermarket lug kit. Looking forward to before and after pics. (y)

I just picked up a Pro4X in Baja Storm Metallic. I am having a hard time deciding on what wheel color to go with. I honestly prefer the Bronze over the Graphite but not sure how the Bronze wheels would look on my truck. Anyone on here have or have seen the Bronze wheel mounted on Baja Storm Metallic truck?

I dropped off the truck this morning to have Nismo wheels installed. The service manager just called me... she claims that the TPMS sensors on the OEM wheels cannot be installed into the Nismo wheels without a special seal...of course the seal is not available and will have to be ordered. They will mount my wheels today but I have to take back for install of TPMS. This will be done at an additional cost to me. Does this sound right?
