Left Windshield Wiper Fuild Just Bubbles - No Spray

Good morning. I have read numerous posts in the forum but have not had to post a question until now.

I have a 2014 SV 4x4 with about 140k miles on it. It has been a good truck and very please with it.

The other day my left (drivers) windshield wiper fluid nozzle stopped spraying and only bubbled. No changes to anything.
I tried cleaning it out without any success. I started to look at how I could replace this nozzle or maybe the plumping.
There are no fluid leaks that I have been able to find. Not that I can get a good view of the fluid holding tank.

What should my next step in troubleshooting be?

Thank you.

How did you clean the nozzle? In my experience, they get clogged with wax or other car-care products, so I just use a toothbrush or a toothpick to clear the blockage.

If the nozzle is definitely clean, try switching the left and right ones. If the problem moves, replace the defective nozzle. If it doesn't, check the hose between the two for damage or a clog.

Helps if you quote posts so whomever gets an alert.

Haven't checked the Frontier specifically, but they usually just snap in. Sometimes you have to get 'em from the bottom and release a retaining clip with a small screwdriver.

I also use a sewing needle. I have someone hold the control so it is spraying while I wiggle a needle in and out of the washer nozzle. That way, any particles will come out with the spray.
One thing that causes clogging is using tap water in the washer tank. It causes calcium buildup (at least it does with Southern California tap water).
I use either washer fluid from the store -or- distilled bottled water.

I assume it's dependent on location.
San Antonio and the Hill Country are known for having some of the hardest water in America. We get our water from the area's largest water source, the Edwards Aquifer. This aquifer is full of limestone, which in turn leaves dissolved minerals in our water.

Windshield washer fluid only, water doesn’t clean the glass like the other one.

I only use washer fluid. Sometimes the Rain-X stuff to help with getting the bugs off.
I will have to try it with two people.

I think I may have found an older post that shows how to change out the nozzle, if necssary. I may be for an older model. I need to look closer.

I've had good luck with temporarily replacing the washer fluid with vinegar.

Run the pump for a few seconds to get the vinegar up into the hoses and nozzles, and then let it soak in there for a while to dissolve the crud.

I use a compressed air duster for electronics. Just line up the straw with each nozzle and pull the trigger. It will clear the line and you know it is clear when you hear air bubbles bubbling in the reservoir. And I also use sewing needles for the stubborn clogs.
