I propose a SD memory card swap

The wife got carried away with a WalMart door buster memory card.

That being said, I have a 4GB Lexar Platinum II 60X speed SDHC card.

I have opened it, inserted the card in the camera. Camera said NO! Now I have a card I can't use. Is there anyone out there that needs this and has a 4GB SD card that they would like to trade?

Worst case, I'll toss it in a drawer until I end up with a SDHC device.

If I can, I will locate the receipt and include it when the swap occurs, or if no swap happens, I will post a sell price.

Thanks for looking. First B/S/T ad here, however, I have bought/sold on Ebay with 100% positive feedback on 68 transactions.

just take it back to walmart and tell them it don't work. you have the receipt....

take it back without the receipt and exchange it for the one that will work. you should only need the receipt if you want a refund. Now, if you threw away the package with the barcode on it you're stuck with it. :)

you will need at most a 2gb card. 4gb and up are considered "SDHighCapacity" and if you look at it in the long run. I work at officemax and we sell the 4gb cards for 9.99 on sale pretty much weekly, the 2gb run 7.99. Cost of shipping???:crikey:...my point exactly

just my 2 cents

Since it seems that a lot of new electronics these days seems to be HC compatible, you might as well keep it as sooner or later you'll likely own an HC compatible device.

WalMart has a no questions asked return policy.

Just get a store credit.

Sorry to say but, I went through a similar thing a few months back, but I bought the Micro-SD HC. There are very few electronics that actually use the HC SD cards. The biggest card you're going to find is a 2gb. They do Not make a regular 4gb card at this point.

My point exactly. Pretty much all new devices (phones, cameras, digital frames, etc.) will use the HC cards. just check the box to see if it has SDHC on it. Good luck with it though. They are really dropping price so just give it as a gift if you buy someone a digital frame or something.

I don't know how y'alls walmarts work but here they won't take anything back at all without a receipt. Worth a shot though

Yes its different, thats why he can't use it. It is an SDHC not a regular SD. SDHC is a High Capacity card. If your radio is that new it may work. I'm sure he'd love to sell it to you though. http://www.steves-digicams.com/pdf/sdhc.pdf

Thanks for the continued interest. To be honest, I gave up after post #8. If someone does have a need for this, I'll do the swap, but if it's a hassle, I'll save it until something I buy will use it.
