I thought so.Sorry,it ain't funny to me.A person is asking for some advice to level the rear with the front.I'm sure a lot of members wants to hear some good ones. And what he get is a lame A$$ JOKE from a well known member/site sponsor who is good at lifting, lowering trucks but cannot give a good advice or come up with a solution to just LEVEL it.Now,this sounds a little funny to me! :):):)

There is nothing wrong with a couple of bags of cement. Though I think bags of sand will work a little better. He asked what is the easiest and cheapest. And that indead IS!!! It will get the result in with no negative side effect. Maybe a little MPG decrease. Also it will take only 1 minute to lift the back of the truck to stock.

I currently have about 100 lbs of sand and 100 lbs fo snow in the bed of my truck. Hey and I am sitting level ;).

The second easiest whould be to remove the smallest leaf spring from the stack.

Ok, here's the un-funny answer. DONT remove the overload, as this will cause excessive bottoming (this does not apply to mini-packs). Start by removing the smallest leaf, the one that is right above the overload. THis should drop the rear about 1.5" and also prevent harsh bottoming. THis is about as cheap as it gets and should only take about an hour to do.
The other option is to let air out of the back tires. kinda like air-springs.

No torsion bars on his truck.

A few options are removing the overload leaf which is about 1" thick(i think),
take your truck to a spring shop and have them remove some arch from you springs, have replacement springs made for the 1.5" drop, or perform a spring under axle flip.
I replaced my leafs with a custom set for a -3" drop, i used
www,alcanspring.com, they were expensive but the quality is all there and they are well none for their suspensions.

I WOULD HAVE ANSWERED THE SAME, NO MODS NEEDED CAN BE CONVERTED RIGHT BACK WHEN YOU NEED TO HAUL SOME WEIGHT, AND IS REAL EASY AND CHEAP..BESIDES THE TRUCK RIDES SOOO MUCH BETTER WITH WEIGHT IN THE BED AS MOST TRUCKS WILL..NO NEED TO GET ALL BUTT HURT..........

wells guys i ended up taking the middle leaf off ( the one that had nothing on it) .... took about a hour to do and the back of my truck is level with the front. still rides smooth.

as for the cement .. thats the 2nd cheapest

thanks for the advice!!

When you say middle which one are you refering to? There are four leaves total. The Longer or shorter of the middle ones.

Jsut to keep things clear for others that might referance this thread.

I guess if you do the work your self remove a leaf is cheaper than a few bags of sand.

Did you have any issues with the U- bolts?

from the top its the 2nd one down. i had no problems with anything being as i had a 1/2'' impact & ratchet, 18'' pry bar, misc sockets,a 4'' extension, 2 ton craftsman car jack and jack stands. the 1st side took a about 45 minutes because i was not familiar with it.. the 2nd side took about 15-20 minutes. the hardest par was bending out& back the 4 clips that help keep the leaf's strait

My first thought: Load the rear down with bags of cement, soil, cinder blocks, or anything heavy. It's simple, cheap, the ride is smooth, but your mileage will suffer.

Why is everyone being so defensive (or can't take a joke)? These Internets is Serious Business. We're all friends here. Lurkers need to be hazed too.
