If you are interested in this let me know . My buddy makes these custom ramps and racks for a good price. It just matters how you want it mounted and where you want to mount a winch. This is my Frontier that has a utilitrac system pre-installed. The last picture is a Full size Chevy with the winch mounted to the window guard. He owns the Chevy and the winch was mounted to the guard he didn't need to mount the rack to the truck.

Cool set-up.
I have to admit I was thinking snow skis also.
Then I saw the pictures of it in the bed and it hit me.

Hopefully you don't mid, I changed the title to include "jet" in it.
This will help people out (especially searching later) since this is a great idea.

Why would someone use this instead of a trailer? Used jet ski trailers can be found CHEAP and they are so easy to maintain.

What do you do with the jet ski when you get home? Push it out onto the ground? Rolling jig?

I'm trying to think of a good reason why someone would choose this setup instead of a small cheap jet ski trailer.

Not everyone goes to a ramp where a trailer is ideal. If you go to a lake out in the woods or out on the beach where you can back right up to the water it's definitely easier this way. I know a guy that made a similar set up with hockey skate wheels and it worked great without a winch.

Nice job OP

One reason (and this is entirely my personal opinion) could be that those little trailers that hold just one jet-ski can be a real pain to back up because they are so small.

First ,, its a good iidea if you want to have your ski with you and go after work to the lake =). Its a pain if you have to take a trailer with and park it outside work . Another reason is if you plan on going to events like freerides you may not want to tow a trailer , i think the bed design saves gas. One another last reason if you want to head out to the coast alone this gives you an easier off on process.

Here are some pictures of me when i took my blaster is for tuning. The superjet doesn't hang off back like this and I am still able to use my extended cargo holder. I also didn't need the straps but I used for safety reasons, the utility trak system and winch held that ski in place.
