Wondering if the closed design (Volant, Injen etc) is less noisy than the open style (AirRaid, K&N, etc.) Does the increased air flow have any impact at lower revs, like from start to 50 mph (without foot-to-the-floor acceleration)? Had JWT on 350Z and it quieted down at cruising speeds but 'growled' nicely as I ran up through the gears.
