Any negative to pulling off the valance other than "aerodynamics"?

None, other than having 2 plug holes to fill on the under side. I re-used the left over plugs but they needed a dab of silicone to make them snug.

I've emailed them some questions and after I get a response, I think that's the one I'm gonna go for.
I want to stay away from spacers!
I think that kit with 2.0"/1.5" and 285/70/17 on stock wheels will look perfect.
And I also think it will work well without messing around with any of the stock suspension components that the truck already has.
We'll see!

I never bought that kit. In the end I bought the full Nisstec 4" suspension lift!

I went 255/80. I prefer pizza cutters for offroad in a light truck.

Might end up sizing down to the 255/75 though. I'm not loving E range tires.

Any pics of the 255/80’s? Are you running stock height or lifted? I’m very interested in 255/80/17 and/or 255/85/16. Seem like efficient tire sizes

I am running 255/80/17. So a 75/17 would fit no problem.

Agreed there are lots of "deals" on Facebook for jeep take offs.

Thanks for the reply. Not concerned about them fitting as I’m currently running 275/70/17’s without issue. Just thinking ahead.

No have a 2" ADO Koni lift.

not sure if it’s been posted in this thread, but here’s some 285/75/16’s. Painting the steelies tomorrow. 2.5” RC N3’s front and rear, and all mud guards gone. Very minimal trimming required and if you never go off road you wouldn’t need to with this setup. I’ll personally be trimming and will post pics when the wheels are painted.

What did you trim? Pics? I have the same lift and am currently running 16x8 ET15 wheels and 275/70/16 tires. I'm thinking about going to 285/85/16's in the spring.

I'm buying a 2023 SV and want to know the biggest tire size....without mods....without rubbing. I read the forum, but everybody jumps all over the place.

I’ve had 285/70/17 and had only rubbing when fully locked. I’ve also seen a few that had a bit of rubbing on the passenger side top of wheel well when off-roading and fully flexed (without a lift).
I’ve not seen anyone have any issues at all with 275/70/17. It’ll be close with mud guards and valence but otherwise no issues.

I have 275/70/17 Wildpeaks on my ‘22 with no mods other than the front air dam removed. Have never rubbed anywhere. I can’t speak to whether they will contact the air dam as I removed it before putting the tires on.

285-70-17 will only rub on passenger mud flap at full lock. They fit.

i almost forgot what these threads were like lol. my money is on 285/75/16 on stock wheels.

I just recently installed 285/75/16 on aftermarket rims and i had to trim the fender and melt mod so it would not rub so much on turns, still rub when shocks compressed.
