Fair point.

An almost side topic is worth mentioning: I think they added wireless for Android Auto. Very likely the truck OS is different from several years earlier, not sure about hardware. All this matters because it has to recertify for not only wireless etc but also for AA/CP. Advantage may not be visual, but getting us to what was current in 2023 vs what was current and certified when 2022s actually hit the lots (2020?)
Android Auto is effectively repackaged screen mirroring, using either USB mirroring protocol or Chromecast protocol for wireless - you could look at it effectively as just an HDMI type signal. All of the processing and scaling for the AA UI is done by your phones hardware, not the headunit which is purely acting as the display. The idea is that you'll always have the latest AA features and look so long as your Android version is being supported by Google's AA app updates which is like 7ish years usually so way longer than you'll keep your phone anyway 99% of the time. So unless Google changes the underlying framework of AA, even the oldest AA headunits will display the latest version of AA. The car manufacturers themselves don't really have any control of this beyond choosing how the headunit incorporates said feed from your phone.

Long story short - buying a new car isn't going to get you new Android Auto features or interfaces, though it might change how it's arranged based on the new cars screen ratio. That all having been said I'm sure Nissan tweaked the built in headunit UI stuff to accommodate the new display form factor, but from screenshots it appears to be the same general UI Nissan is using lineup wide right now. Though yeah think think they added built in wireless too which is nice, I'm actually on my second MA-1 dongle now as the first one crapped the bed this fall. Luckily it was on sale at Bestbuy for like $35 when it happened.

WOW. I had no idea. I really screwed up leasing that 23' for 21 months and not having the MA-1 Motorola dongle then. That would have made that last unit so much more enjoyable IMO. Just a really stupid move to have not known that. Thanks Guys!!!

Poked my nose out onto a street where people regularly speed and saw a car coming fast. Stomped on the brakes to put in reverse to tuck back quickly so I don't get hit and the engine shut off. Auto stop/start would have been the reason that my truck would have been seriously damaged IF there had been traffic in the other lane where the speeding driver took evasive action. The government should step in and mandate that this extremely dangerous 'feature' be either outlawed all together or forever defeatable for the 99.9% of the people that want safety for themselves and their family over saving a gallon of gas over a year.

Firstly, glad you and yours are okay and weren't hit.

Time to do the zip tie and silicone trick.

What a glorious day. I've never seen Android Auto until today. The integration of that on this new screen with Spotify is absolutely amazing. Having the main screen display the incredible Google Maps interface AND have Spotify on the small screen to the right is badass. Simply touching the small screen does an instant swap of the two...back and forth. I'm so lucky to have waited for the 25' model and get this well-done interface change.

I hate the tires and really don't care for the rims. I'd LOVE to swap someone for the Hardbody wheels and put actual snow/ice tires on them. I've already decided to buy this year's upgrade (T99W1-9BY3K) and put smaller tires on them. VREDESTEIN HiTrac All Season 265-60R17 should drop the truck by 1". However, the ride home was squishier than my 2023 model I leased. I wonder if the shocks are different and allow more rebound or something? It is noticeably less firm for some reason. I hope it's just the 265-70/17 tires with the large squishy sidewalls.

Hate the step rail nailing me in the chin when I try to jump up into the seat. I'll be removing the steps Tomorrow.
The rims on the 25 are super -- thinking to swap out my 23's Congratulations on a beautiful truck!

I recently traded my 24 pro4x cloth seats for a 25 pro4x with leather seats. I missed the leather and found a good trade deal [250miles away] and got it. The seats [imo] are more comfortable and it seems they hold you up higher in both front seats. I noticed it right away but didn't say anything to my wife. I let her drive and after a while she said these seats are higher. [I know there's a height adj ] She is short [5'2"] and needs that. I am 6'2'' and it works well for me.. For both of us it's a more comfortable ride. The 250 mile trip back was a good test of that compaired to going down there. Also the cruise works better. The 2024 would drop 3mph on a hill and when cruising if i set it at 60, it would be at 59. The 2025 will only drop 1mph on a hill but quickly get it back to set speed. Also mostly cruises at the speed i set it at. I do also like the Fender stereo better in this one.

I'm not sure what the model number is but it seems that these rims are $500 each.
I'd love to know the Nissan model number for them.
Anyway, it's easy to swap on the cheap = just find my auction right now on e b a y

Give them a while. I had the same issue but now I never hit 'em with my shins. I also find them incredibly helpful when cleaning the top of the windshield and the front half of the roof.

Side benefit, they do a great job preventing rock chips on the rocker panels and door bottoms.
