Also had the issue of my hood moving up and down on the highway at high speed....quite unnerving
Could slam the hood down and actually lift it up and down
Was at Menards yesterday and picked up a package of heavy duty stick on felt pads
Put one on my front hood bumper stop....now hood doesn't jiggle and can't lift it up and down now when it's closed

IIRC, you can adjust the rubber stops by turning them in or out to pick up any slack??

Yeah...but was faster....cheap and afraid to turn them and screw up any alignment

I hear you. But that's actually what they are for, for fine tuning and proper alignment. Most hoods are coarse adjusted at the hinges, and fine tuned up front by the rubber stops. The felt pads will at least help 'soften' any play. It all depends on how much or how little the fine tuning needs to be and what is comfortable for the you.
I too notice the hood on my 22 'jiggle' a little, but after fine tuning those bumpers myself, and further investigation, have determined the thin metal used on the hoods just jiggles/flexes, but the hood itself is actually closed very snug. Tightening down the hood did not do any more to alleviate the hood from flexing at times. I actually was thinking of adding some body shop paneling foam in-between the top hood panel and the second (engine) panel. Sort of fill in the gap to help prevent the flexing?? But I have not bothered with it yet. :giggle:

Started ordering bits for the pathfinder brake swap. Got yellow stuff pads all the way around on the way and raybestos r300 rotors for front and rear as well.

Really surprised my stock pads have about 10-15% life left in them at 65k miles and rotors look great too

My wifes 2012 RAV4 hood flexes at speed too, they use very thin metal these days to try to beat the EPA MPG cops.

Yeah....I figure I'll still get some flex but that bouncing up and down a 70 mph was freaking me out!
I'll see what it does next time on the highway.....if it flexs I might try the pads on the other stops for giggles and see what it does

Well the title of this thread says "What have you done FOR your Frontier today/lately?" What I did was work a bunch of overtime last week. In a couple weeks when I get that check, I can order that new black powder coat rear bumper I've been looking at and some of the lighting for my rack setup.

After doing the husbandly shite getting milk and bread went to car wash and got all the dust off from road reconstruction a block over
Decided to jump on highway and get the water off and check how my little pad under the front hood bumper works.....ran it up to 80 mph.....no more hood jump.....nice and solid....still flex on sides but that seems to be the norm with these hoods

What bumper are you going for?

Nothing fancy. It's just a stock style bumper but in black powder coat instead of chrome. My Frontier is black and I've been gradually eliminating all the chrome. I installed black wheel skins and a black grill already. I plan to eventually build a front bumper guard out of the same material I made my rack system from.
