This morning I installed my dash cam that I had on my pervious vehicle.

I also attempted installing a hood decal, I don't know why I wanted to try a dry install (vs. Wet install that I have done before). Needless to say it was a failed attempt

There were two issues, 1- the shipping was sh**, the decal arrived folded with hard creases not rolled, which cased visible lines. It is possible that it was rolled but got damged/opened during delivery.
2- bubbles were too much for my liking, despite all the time and effort.

I will get my money back for the decal, but I would recommend wet install for anyone who wants to do this or find a professional shop to do it.

I took couple of photos for inspiration, as I might still do this properly again 😀 (Live and learn I guess).

This morning I removed the Sport Bar that came with the truck, and installed Bakflip MX4 tonneau cover that I picked up used from a guy on Kijiji, he said was on for 3 weeks only (looks super clean). I paid 1/3 the price of a new one.

Not sure if I am going to keep the Sport bar or sell it, we'll see.

Went to the dealership to add extended warranty. Seeing all these bugs still being worked out in our 3rd gens, I’d hate to have to pay big bucks for future failures, so I decided to go with a 6 year/75,000 gold plan. Paid $1600.
Sounds like a wise and reasonable decision, I was thinking of the same. Depending of course of how much they would want to charge us here in Canada for a similar warranty.

I finished work early today, so I had a choice of having lunch with the wife at work or work on installing the bed extender. I didn't want to upset the wife, so I worked on the bed extender :ROFLMAO:

It took me about an hour to get this done, you will need to have a rivet gun to complete this at home. I feel like nissan wanted this to be a dealer installed accessory, because it would have been much easier to add a nut/bolt holes instead of drilling/riveting.

Overall straightforward, and no issue with the bed cover. I had to remove the front clips to slide the rollers into the utili-track.

At $140 and 1 hour of work, it is worth it.

I assume a Canadian version standard, as I also don't have the OFF option , perhaps part of the laws in Canada:

"
New lighting standard
As of September 2021 the Canadian Vehicle Lighting Regulation will require that all new vehicles sold in Canada have one of the following:

  • tail lights that come on automatically with daytime running lights
  • headlights, tail lights, and side marker lights that turn on automatically in the dark
  • a dashboard that stays dark to alert the driver to turn on the lights"

anyone have any links for centre console dividers 😁
This is the one I got for my 2022:

Muslogy Center Console Organizer Insert Tray Storage Box ABS Material Interior Accessories Armrest Organizer Compatible with Frontier Accessories 2022 (Black Leather) https://a.co/d/d3W6vuS

There are many more, however I assume they will come up with newer styles for the 2023 since Nissan dropped the 12V plug in the console.

Cheers!

Added the OEM window visors (T99D3 9BU0B) to my ‘23 pro4x.

Pros: I’ve always liked the over window look vs the inside window channel visors. I liked the extra security with the brackets and rivets. Old visors did just fine with the 3m tape, but appreciate the added security.

Cons: I wish the visors were truly edge to edge of the door. I know they’re only meant to cover the windows, but I hate the little bit of gap between the end of the visor and the door. Especially at the side mirror. I wish the trim continued behind the side mirror to make it look less ”after market.”

I‘m nitpicking, really. Love the addition.

Still looks good on the black paint!

Mine are in channel, they look fine, however was already on the truck when I got it !

I painted the stock Pro 4x wheels bronze today, originally I was going to go all black or buy other wheels, then decided to try bronze and see how that goes. Worse case scenario I could use them for winter rims.

But I like the results so far, I will put them on the truck tomorrow or after to allow sufficient time for drying.

Cheers!
