Took it Offroad….this thing keeps surprising me the more I take it off the beaten path. I definitely need to get some recovery boards and a compressor before I start to get into thicker ****. Today took it through mud that was up to the doors and kicked it in 4-Lo turned off traction control and locked the diff and it just crawled right through. Also surprised by the Maxxis Razr AT811’s

Those 285's? Awesome pics btw!

I wish I would've had factory steps just so I could remove them and have rock rails. I know I can add rock rails, but having the ability to add and remove the step when necessary would be nice.

I feel the same way. I am just short enough to need the steps but part of why I got bigger tires is for off-road and a bit more ground clearance, so the steps kind of defeat the purpose.

Ordered a set of WeatherTech mats and a sunshade for the windshield.

Still looking for options on a tonneau cover.
I just ordered the Truxedo truxsport cover for ~$300usd I think. I really like it. I've seen another on my son's frontier and it felt really cheap compared to this one. It's a soft-roll up one and gets all the way out of the way if needed. Super easy to roll up.

Today I got my KO2’s installed and then went and installed my RC Killa lift with the 1/2” spacer and no overload leaf.

I can tell you the 285/70/17’s rub at stock height even with the mudflaps off, but only while turning on a bump. After the lift my camber is way off and I still get the same rubbing. Hoping that gets fixed with an alignment.
Wow. Your truck looks great. I'm assuming you did the ADO UCA's as well? About the rub, I don't get any rub with virtually the same lift (I got the ADO Koni 2" lift) but without the extra 0.5" spacer.

After I get it aligned I’ll take it up to the mountains and get some more pics. Btw, my measurement from floor to fender flare is is 37” front and 38” rear. Is that similar to yours?
36.25" front - 37.5" rear - Mine was 37.75" rear but I carried an 800lb load around for a week to get it "settle" and I think the rear is now somewhere right at 37.5". I'd add the spacer but when carrying a load, the rear sags to 35-36" and I need my truck to be as useful as possible. I look forward to seeing pics!

Tried to get it aligned again, its not good news.

I had taken it to firestone because I got a deal on their lifetime alignment service. They said the tech didnt know how to do it and to come back Saturday when they had a more experienced guy working.

So I went back this morning, and it turns out the first guy destroyed the cambolts to the point where only one of them works as intended now. The rest just spin and do nothing. Then they tried to blame the installer for installing them wrong, bullshit, I did it myself. Then they tried to blame the bolts for being defective. Long story long, I got my money back and theyre reimbursing me for new cambolts. I ordered OEM ones, but meanwhile I still cant drive my truck, it’s rubbing like crazy.

Maybe I’ll just have the dealer align it when the bolts come in, nobody else seems to want to touch it.
That sucks. It’ll be good as new soon. But that is definitely frustrating.

Got it back from the dealership, new oem cambolts installed, alignment is good finally. No rubbing at all. Also got the brake switch replaced, hopefully that fixes the ABS cutting out issue.

I took it for a test drive up Mt Baldy this morning, everything seems good. I think I’ll put the mudflaps back on, though they may rub up front.

@mikewchandler there’s a sideshot for ya.
Awesome! Thanks. And looks great. Glad you got the alignment figured out too!

Installed ADO Koni 82 series kit, with their added front spacer and did the parabolics out back. Took me and my old man about 4 hours total maybe, lots of swearing at one another but that’s typical haha (installed the first leaf spring in reverse order of steps made it nearly impossible had to take it apart and start from front to back). All in all I’d say it’s a very easy job to accomplish in the driveway with just 4 Jack stands and a Jack. Everything went together flawlessly, I didn’t take measurements from before when I had the Rough Country 2.5” loaded strut kit on it. I’ll say it definitely raises it up at least 1” all around maybe even more in the rear. Haven’t driven it yet, plan on taking it in for an oil change and I’ll have them check the alignment while there too. Also probably gonna stop by the shop that installed the rough country kit and ask them why they had some of the god damn bolts so tight my 450 ft/Lb trusty DEWALT couldn’t even break the bolts loose. Lou Ferrigno must’ve been working that day….
got any pics yet? 😎

I love getting organized. I got a little emergency kit together to keep in the back of the truck. It has my Nissan emergency kits, boots, hats, gloves, a few tools in it that just stays in the truck. I bought this little tote on Amazon for ~$30. It collapses down if not in use. Pretty handy for what I'm using it for.
