Anyone put one of these on before?

Front license plate keeps getting bent in the drive through car wash. Only the top 2 holes on a California plate line up with factory bracket so the bottom of the plate is exposed. The car washes like to grab that bottom and fold it up.

My sister's Toyota has the same issue. She has a license plate frame and that keeps her plate from getting jacked up. She goes to the car wash all the time. You can also drill out the bottom 2 holes and that will allow you to bolt them in. Or go and find a car wash that doesn't jack up you plate. It seems silly to spend $85 on that contraption when there are cheaper/simpler solutions to your problem.

I don't use a front plate on either of my vehicles and my state still wants them there and it's never been an issue. Even in states that require it it's a secondary offense so cops won't actively pull you over for it, probably just mention it if they do for something else. I see more and more people skipping it around here which I don't mind since it's really not necessary.

Maybe don't follow this advice though if you're black. Kidding. Not kidding.

Not saying you should just ditch it. But.....

This is the Stupidest Design I have ever seen in a license plate holder. So, there is no place to screw in the bottom of the the license plate! What a Sh!tty Design! I have already bent the plate with the plastic holder twice! Now I have to make some kind of L bracket so I can actually screw the bottom of the license plate on to something to secure it, so it won't get bent up every time something touches it. This is really F*cking Stupid! Excuse my French, but it pisses me off! This is just a horrible design Nissan. I love my truck, but what the hell? Even my last three Chevy Colorados could get a license plate holder correct!

PS- I'm not sure how you think that Bossmount design is going to help you. I'm am definitely not screwing my license plate to the middle of my front grill. I wish New Jersey would just do away with front license plates, but for right now I am screwed and I have to fix a very poorly designed Nissan front license plate holder.

Agreed bad design.

I was wondering with the Bozzmount if by moving the front license plate above the bottom of the bumper, out of harms way, then a car wash would hit the bumper first instead of grabbing the exposed bottom lip of the front license.

But doing something with L bracket like you mentioned might work too.
