I bought these brackets but am concerned with what will happen with leaking and or whistling from inside the door jamb. This has been what has kept me from putting it on. Have these things been an issue for you?
no whistling at all. i might get a very small amount of water in the jamb on the driver side and its because of the wire from the light bar but it has to be coming a monsoon for that to happen.

I did mine a little different than he did. I can post pictures of mine too in the next few days. I bought an auxbeam 30 inch bar on Amazon. It has three adjustable mounting points. I only used two. There are 3 plastic pop rivets inside the bumper mouth on the top. I took the two outside ones out and bought 5/16th nut and bolts for the brackets. They fit right through the holes and into the holes in the metal behind. I took the grill of just to make accessing it easier but could be done without. I also bought a mictuning remote harness from Amazon. All in all I did not have to drill any holes and didn't have to run anything through the firewall. Here is the only picture I have right now and I will take a few more and upload them tomorrow.

Is this a straight or curved light bar?

Old thread here, but I am about to try my hand at one of these...

What is everyone's thoughts on the location of the 50" curved? I mean, is it better to have it more forward, just over the top few inches of the windshield? When I look at the OP's location, my thought is it is back away from the windshield more than I figured. Thoughts?

If anyone is interested my LED light bar mounts are for sale. They mount with the OEM Roof Rack mounting points. PM me for details.

Hi jp450r,

Question - What is the model number and what company did you get the mount bracket for your 50” curved LED light bar?

Thanks

After searching and reading all the threads about this and seeing how every one was looking for the guinea pig to try something, well your wait is over lol. I bought a set of the 50" curved brackets from Putco and bought a 50" curved bar and thought what the hell, well it worked out and fit fine. well for me it did because i wanted to mount mine as close to the roof as i could and with that, i have zero noise or whistle like some have complained about. here are a few pictures.

Just wondering how you handled the wiring and how it was routed?
