I have an '06 LE King Cab with 80,000 miles. Bought new. Still on the original General Grabber tires. Plenty of tread left. No cracks on the sidewalls. Still on the same brakes. However my TPMS light came on. I had the dealer turn it off twice, then figured one or more sensor batteries has died. When the time comes for new tires, then I will replace the sensors. Until then I just ignore the light. I have always used 100% Nitrogen in my tires since new. It has been a super truck. I disconnected the trans cooler line to the radiator. I installed a deep aluminum trans pan with a temp gauge installed. Trans temp is now running 30 degrees cooler than before. I live in Las Vegas. Enjoy your Frontier ride.. Vegasjerry...

cherubrock 74. If the sensors are coming back on after a short time, it is telling you one or more sensors have a dead battery. If you are due for tires soon wait , then change them while the tires are off. That's what I am doing. Keep a check on the tire pressure with a digital gauge till then.. The sensors are expensive. $40 to 50. each.. Jerry.. Las Vegas, NV

As long as you keep a watch on your tires you will have no problem with the lite. I ignore it now. I would not even bother trying to reset them. The lite will come back on. Mine are original sensors since the truck was new in '06. One or more of the batteries are shot. Mine is stock also, I have the LE version with all the extras. Sat radio, etc. Love my truck. Jerry..

thadbme, you didn't say how old your truck is, but if it's close to mine, I say you are wasting your time resetting it. After 81,000 miles I replaced my original tires. Costco was able to turn the lite off, but I knew it would return. And it did after a week. I do all my own work on my truck. So I keep the tires pressure checked and use Nitrogen in them. To replace the sensors will cost you about $50. each. Enjoy your truck.. Jerry..

I did this reset method many times and the lite kept coming back on. I check my tire pressure always, so I can assume it is a sensor or all of them that has a dead battery. You can keep resetting the sensors but with dead batteries you are wasting your time. Either ignore the lite or replace the sensors at about $50 each, plus the labor to remove and replace and re balance the tires. UGH !! Jerry.

Drive the truck over 26 miles per hour and see if they reset on their own. That's how it's done after refilling a low tire when the lite came on. Jerry.
