You can't find anything because it doesn't exist for that year of truck, and the sensors aren't just in the mirrors, they're part of the entire vehicle wiring system

 

He knows, looking for experience with some of the aftermarket stuff or if aftermarket has bundled a correct fit mirror. Probably, what he has seen so far is aftermarket sensors kits you adapt.

 

I don't the aftermarket options for that kind of stuff is at a place where it's price for the average consumer. The technology is there, I know such a system exists for motorcycles, but would be of no use to trucks. There are options in the commercial sector like this one, but a little steep at ~$560

 

<<zips flame suit>> much like many of the other nanny items, if you need this feature to drive, maybe reconsider your driving skills. I spent 2 weeks in a demo semi a few years back that had a full safety suite: blind spot monitor, lane change assist, collision avoidance, throttle override speed control. After weeks, honestly I was a worse driver than before. Twice I was almost in crashes because the blind spot monitor and the lane change assist tried to override my ability to avoid slowing traffic and take an empty lane at speed.

 

I’m not considering my skills at all. I’m considering my son’s skills. In the end, it has nothing to do with skill but everything to do with safety. Some will argue with me but it’s my preference.
