I have a 2011 Silverado. It did not come with miles per gallon, miles to go, etc. All I had to do was buy a $48 panel with the button on it from GM and the display turned on. Is there a way to do the something with the frontier? Thanks.

when I look at my odometer display in JUST the right light I can see L/100km, etc information but I have no way to actually make use of it. Would be really great if it was a simple mod.
I see the same thing. Thought I would ask. I bet it is there. Cheaper to make them all them same. Just need to find out how to turn it on. Nissan could make a killing by doing what GM is doing.
There was a discussion about this a while ago. I think the consensus was that you would have to replace the ECU to activate it, I don't think anyone has actually tried it though.
The SL also shows all of the guesstimate information. It might even be as simple as plugging in a tool to unlock it electronically as it is probably just locked in the ECU.
I have observed that the fuel gauge is remarkably linear in reading the amount of fuel left. By comparing the mileage on the odometer with the gas gauge reading I can get a reasonably accurate indication of distance to empty under present driving conditions. Low tech yes, but easy to use.
