lets see how many cars you've had and a short description of what u miss/hated or any memories u had/have about them(lets see where the memories really are!!)..start with your very ever first vehicle.post pics if u want.here's my history:

1986 VW golf 4dr white 5 spd.: for a 1st car and a car i always wanted, this was a dream come true.i worked @ a movie theatre and when 101 dalmations came out we got the posters and these paw print stickers that i stuck across my trunk and pple thought that was kool.:udaman:i hated the MANY problems i had with this car, from radiator leaks to alternator issues.one winter me and my g/f were driving home and i did a 360 right on the highway surprisingly not hitting anyone or anything and just inches from the guard rail:shock:
we once got busy (me and my g/f that is) in the back seat @ a movie drive inn..that limo tint came in handy!

1989 chevy blazer auto (2 dr) 4x4:2 tone (blk and silver) my first truck.used to pimp the city in this bad boy.had 3 JBL 12" subs, 2 6x9 boston aquistics and a pioneer tape deck (i remember bumping Ready to die up and down main st)..i still got the deck.

1993 nissan sentra se auto 2dr grey::me and my wifey (girlfriend then), traded in her 87 toyota camry for the sentra that we still have. its been part of our 10 year realtionship. still love this car:comes in handy with current gas prices!:clever:

97 nissan pathfinder se 5 spd gold: afta trading in tha blazer.i got the pathfinder.enjoyed driving this vehicle several times to maine, New Jersey & connecticut.backed into my brothas talon 1 day as i backed into my driveway.i was more hurt than the car!! did a liltte courier work (100 miles a day!) with it too and that's when its started falling apart.had to replace the sway bars cos i almost flipped the whole truck!! one winter just as i turned onto my street i figured i'd have a lil fun so i pedalled to the metal fished tailed some and ended in a ditch!!even with 4wd i was sol. $60 to get pulled out!!.:damn:needless to say after 6 years of fun, it was time to say good bye...

1997 VW Jetta GT: my worst investment.bought this vehicle on implulse..neva again!! this vehicle was supposed to be my project car but afta the tranny went i even started to dislike Vw's (well..not really.)so i tried to get the tranny replaced and it just neva got betta.traded the "jet" in for a 01 maxima SE auto that the wifey drives.

2006 nissan frontier se 6 spd blk.purchased this frontier in aug 06 and so far so good..like mcdonald's..AM LOVING IT!!:fantastic:

the fronty is technically my first car/truck and so far i love everything about it!. but we also have a few cars in the family that i have drivern/ still drive to this day:

1987 honda civic maroon: i just love to play mechanic on this one. its a no frills no right side mirror no fuel injection car on 13" wheels haha i keep tinkering with it coz no one really uses it and its ok if i mess the car up. the boxy shape kinda tells me its related to the xb haha.

1994 nissan pathfinder xe-v6 2wd red: 215000 miles and still going strong! this truck has been with us since brand new and has never had any major drivetrain service done. parts wear out but thats normal. i hate the fact that the seal between the engine and tranny is leaking and replacing that plus a few more seals would prolly cost more than the trucks value...

2004 nissan xterra xe-v6 2wd solar yellow: 52000 so far. i drove this since new although my mom kept claiming it was hers. total mileage that my mom drove on the truck before i got my fronty? 10. i hated that the truck now feels so underpowered and that the cheap a$$ tires it came with always resulted in tire squeals when i execute a u-turn in a parking lot. lets not forget the 95 mph governed speed and since it was yellow, friends calling me the bus driver.....

My first vehicle was a 1996 explorer xlt that my family has owned since day one. I received it with 126,000 miles on it. It was soo much fun because you could hit anything at any speed and not worry about the suspension. I had been rear ended three times with it and not once had it been damaged when the total of the other three cars broke 12 grand. way too much fun. it finally died this last february with about 300 miles short of 200k. it had probably 30 horsepower by the time everything was said and done and it leaked transmission fluid like popped balloon. when i went to trade it in i had to drive 25 miles at 35 mph just to get it to the dealership without smoking. if you went above 40 mph the tran. fluid would drip on the exhaust header and voila! james bond style smoke screen.

Thats the only thing i have had before my 2006 KC SE 4x4 6M

here we go RedFrontiers turn!!! ok here it is:

1990 VW Golf GL Red 5speed $1600- What to say it was my first ever car got it with 106K on the clock, I miss no power steering, rolling the windows down by hand, and having my brakes go out in rush hour traffic with a "hot" date, so many memories in this car if I could only know where it is right now.

1996 VW Jetta K2 5speed- $2800 bought it with a salvage title with 86K on the clock MAJOR eletrical problems got rid of it not even a month later.

2003 VW Golf GLS 5speed- $20000 1.9 miles on the clock, Got rear-ended by a 16 year old with 3 his fault accident with 21 miles on the clock (first time I ever cried in adulthood) after I got it back from the body shop I lowerd it, intake, exhaust, bageless grill, black 18in rims, in dash dvd player thanks 16 year old kid!!! 4 months later I put it into a ditch on I-5 just outside of Tacoma, WA doing 80+ and drove off like nothing ever happend even though it had 2800 dollars worth of damage to it after 50K on the clock the problems one after another started, so I traded it in for my Frontier!

1. 1978 Chevy Monza..purchased on my 16th birthday in 1986...64,000 miles. The color of a brand new penny, with vinyl seats. YIKES.

2. 1986 Honda Civic Si....bought in 1988, my first pocket rocket, a very fun car for an 18 year old.

3. 1985 Olds Calais 3.0 Bought in 1990 with only 17,000 original miles. I thought I was ready for some luxury, and this car was LOADED...also loaded with problems.

4. 1991 Honda Civic Si bought in 1991...back to the pocket rocket!!

5. 1991 Eagle Talon TSi AWD bought in January 1992...got into an accident the same night I bought it. Hit a deer with it 6 months later, decided it was hexed and sold it in August. What a fantastic all-weather sports car.

6. 1990 Nissan Sentra XE My economy car...great car too, but slow. ( I guess anything would be slow after the Talon)

7. 1993 Plymouth Sundance Duster 3.0 Bought off the showroom floor in 1993, best car I ever owned. 74,000 miles and never a single repair. Fast car too, a blast to drive. Goes to show that a Mitsubishi V6 can be a fantastic engine when you take care of them.

8. 1997 Ford Ranger Flareside regular cab. Bought new in 1997, gutless piece of ****. Stolen and totalled.

9. 1994 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS. Bought in 1998 An exact twin to my Talon except the turbo and awd. Traded it in and the timing belt broke when the new owner drove it home. OOPS

10. 2000 Nissan Sentra Bought new in 2000. Good car, had a few problems which were made worse by accidents.

11. 2002 Nissan Altima 3.5SE 5-speed. Bought new in 2002 MY ROCKETSLED. Many many MANY problems though.

12. 2004 Mazda 3i Great car, but a bit too small.

13. 1992 Chevy S-10 2.8. Great little truck, had to put a heater core in it right off the bat, but it had been sitting untouched in a storage unit for 3 years, so it had relatively low miles. Bought it so the Mazda could be a garage queen, but no A/C got the best of me so I sold it to my brother-in-law who had freon put in (Dammit..I figured the compressor was bad) and is driving it to this day.

14. 1974 VW Beetle. Looked like a 4-wheeled citrus fruit (Orange). Learned so much about VW engineering while I had it....most notably that the engines are disposable. (I grew up thinking these things ran forever...HA!) It was purchased to drive so the Mazda could be a garage queen, but the repairs got the best of me and I said BUH BYE.

15. 2006 Nissan Frontier crew cab. GOD I love this truck.

1. 1991 Chevrolet Blazer S-10 4x4 - Family car I drove when I first started out. Dad blew the motor at 250k miles.

2. 1989 Pontiac Grand Prix SE - WORST CAR EVER! Nothing worked, nor could it be fixed. Engine died over 3000 rpm and the auto wouldn't shift half the time. Tossed it.

3. 1993 Toyota Celica GTS - Started my love of sporty cars. Of course, being 19 I thought I was king **** in it. Drove it hard. Loved the torque and handling.

4. 2000 Toyota Celica GTS - Fun car, more power and lighter handling but wasn't really to my liking. I preferred torque to 8000rpm power. Blew the motor with a misshift and Toyota put another in under warranty.

5. 1984 Toyota Celica GT - Got it when I blew the motor on the 2000. First RWD car and it was pretty fun. Lame motor and handling but it was basic transportation.

6. 1995 Suzuki Katana 600cc - First motorcycle. I'd wanted to ride since I was 10. The bike was ugly, heavy, and slow but it gave me the experience I needed for my real bike.

7. 1994 Mazda B4000 SE Ext Cab 4x4 - First truck. Got it to haul around the bike and do some offroading. It was just an old truck, power nothing, but one hell of a work horse. Ford reliability made me get rid of it for an 07 Frontier.

8. 2003 Honda CBR954RR - Current street bike. Faster than most any car on the road, handles like a dream, and gets 42mpg. Couldn't ask for more.

9. 2000 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS Coupe - Bought it for handling and AWD for Colorado winters. Thinking of either keeping it and building it for handling with a little more power or getting rid of it (after the Frontier is done) and getting something that handles well + v8 power.

10. 2007 Frontier SE CC 4x4 - Because of my ATV I needed a pickup to replace my dieing B4000. I plan to modify the truck to make it "expedition capable".

Been driving for 33 years, been married for 24 years, had 25-26 vehicles (owned 1 twice) during that time. Listed them best I could, close on model years:

  • 1967 Chevy Concours Station Wagon – I wanted a van, but couldn’t afford one, and found the wagon for $500 in 1974. Had it my senior year in high school and first year in college. Electric tailgate didn’t work and never opened. But back seats folded down for plenty of “date” space. Installed an eight-track and a couple of old stereo speakers and I was ready to go. Also doubled as the beer wagon when my frat went on road trips.
  • 1970 AMC Hornet – First manual transmission I had. Three on the tree.
  • 1974 Ford Pinto
  • 1970 Datsun Pickup – First truck. Got it after graduating from college. Put a shell on it and camped out around the South for three years.
  • 1957 Ford F100 – Got $1,000 inheritance, decided I wanted a truck the same age I was. All steel – inside and out – could go anywhere. 351 flathead, 10 mpg on good days, but I wish I still had it.
  • 1980 Ford Mustang – My wife’s car when we met and got married.
  • 1980 Subaru Wagon
  • 1982 Mazda (Little 4-door, don’t remember the number)
  • 1980 Dodge Van – A fullsize van for my family. Sold my ’57 Ford pickup to make room for it. Van sucked.
  • 1980 AMC Concord – Traded the van for it.
  • 1982 Dodge Colt Wagon
  • 1984 Dodge Caravan
  • 1986 Ford Ranger
  • 1988 Ford Ranger
  • 1990 Chevy Lumina
  • 1990 Ford Escort
  • 1980 VW Beetle
  • 1990 Ford Thunderbird
  • 1992 Ford Tempo
  • 1996 Ford F-150
  • 1996 Ford Taurus
  • 1987 Nissan Sentra
  • 2000 Honda Odyssey
  • 2000 Dodge Dakota
  • 1987 Nissan Sentra - Same car, sold it then bought it back a year later.
  • 2001 Nissan Frontier CC 4x4 - Next to my 57 Ford, second best truck I've owned, and a lot better gas mileage, lol.

1989 - 1982 Dodge Challenger (Mitsubishi-made 4-cyl piece of junk)
It died in '92.

1992 - 1991 Ford Ranger (reg. cab, 3.0L V6, 5-speed)
Traded in with 189k miles.

1997 - 1997 Dodge Avenger (2.0L 4-cyl, 5-speed)
Totaled by some idiot hitting me on the Interstate. Cheap, no frills, but good car.

2000 - 2000 Oldsmobile Alero
ABSOLUTE PIECE OF CRAP! Bought for a commuter car.

2000 - 1999 Ford Ranger SC 4.0L V6 4x4
(Notice the Alero didn't last long) I loved this truck, but I couldn't put a car seat in it. Which led me to...

2003 - 2003.5 Mazda Protegé5
I loved this car. However, it left me stranded 3 times in 4 months because the screws kept falling out of a butterfly valve on the intake and getting sucked into the cylinder. Mazda didn't have a long-term fix, and I couldn't keep working a tow truck and shop visit into my daily schedule.

2005 - 2005 Nissan Frontier NISMO
Hands down the best vehicle I've ever owned.

(1) 1997 Nissan Hardbody XE 2wd - Bought new, then lowered it, turned into a show truck, then put a suspension lift and body lift on it and took it trail riding. I was 18 out of high school. I had it for 2 years then traded for #2

(2) 2000 Nissan Frontier XE 2wd - Bought new, first bagged Frontier around, and was a show truck. I bought the first one on the lot when they came out and 1 month later it was laying frame. Many shows later....

(3) 2001 Nissan Frontier XE 2wd - I traded the 2000 for this one. I wanted the new front end. Began to modify it but didn't get far. I had it for a month put 1500 miles on it and traded it for #4.

(4) 1997 Acura Integra GS-R - I went through 2 custom paint jobs on this car (House of Kolor Highlighter Yellow & Electron Blue), 5 sets of wheels, tons of mods, 14 sec street car. I had it for 4 years. It doesn't go without being missed. I never had one problem with that car.

(5) 2005 Nissan Frontier SE CC Auto - Got married, had a kid & got rid of the Acura.

(6) 2001 Acura Integra LS 4-Door - The wife missed my car and wanted an Integra of her own then voila!

(7) 1987 Mazda RX-7 - Project car - Stripped it down and was preparing for an LS1 swap. Sold it a year later to start on #9

(8 1972 Chevy Nova drag car - Had hurricane damage to the roof so the chassis was no good but I wanted the fully built 383 out of it to swap into #9

(9) 1984 Chevy C10 Pickup swb - **Current Project Truck** I'm building a pro street setup with this truck. It was my Dad's work truck. He bought it brand new in 84 and had it every since. It was the first vehicle I drove when I got my license at 15. He passed away a year ago on the 17th of Sept. My Mother gave me the truck to take care of it. I decided to rebuild the truck into a Hot Rod in memory of him. He was into muscle cars and hot rods.

(10) 2006 Acura RSX Type-S - Current daily driver soon to be supercharged and aftercooled. I missed my Integra so I had to get this car before they stopped making them which is this year.

Currently:
- 06 RSX-S, I drive
- 05 Frontier, Me & Wife drives
- 84 C10, Project Truck

1) 1986 Olds Calais 3.0- I loved this thing!! I thought is was a great little car, something went wrong with it and it would have cost more to fix it than the car was worth.
2) 1992 Pontiac Grand Prix SE Coupe Red - I also loved this car when the calipers decided to stay on the rotors and the radio and power locks decided to work!!
3) 2000 Honda Civic EX Coupe Black - I found out why I will never buy a Black car again really quick!! It was a b*tch to keep clean. But with out a doubt a great car and I wish I still had it! I wanted to mod the hell out of it but I needed a truck for the mountains, when I moved to Colorado. Which brings me to my Frontier.
4) 2005 Nissan Frontier NISMO 4x4 King Cab Storm Gray - What a great truck as everyone knows! It fits perfectly into my life right now, with offroading in the mountains and hauling crap for my first house.

I will again have a fast little car when I get a little extra money. I have had my eye on a 92-95 Honda Civic hatchie to mod out for a project car for months now but have had no xtra cash.

You've had some interesting rides!
  • 1982 Mazda (Little 4-door, don’t remember the number) GLC?
  • 1980 VW Beetle How'd you pull that off? I thought they stopped importing these after the '79 model year.
It may have been the GLC. Family was growing and it got too small too quick.
Like I said, not sure on all the model years. Beetle could be a little older. Didn't buy it outright. Father-in-law gave it to me to pay off a loan. It was probably my third favorite vehicle.

82 Tbird -- My first car so the best thing about it was the "freedom"it represented.

79 Regal -- I liked the feeling that "you could die at any time" due to the hosed up carb causing it to stall at the most inopportune times, like pulling onto the highway, or crossing a railroad track when the red lights are flashing and the engineer is so close you can almost read the nametag on his shirt.

82 Chevette (2 hours) I gave the Regal to my cousin (after I replaced the carb) who needed the extra room since she had 3 kids. She gave me her chevette, which I promptly gave away to my brother. I bummed a ride to the dodge dealership and bought an...

87 Dodge Shelby Charger -- Replaced rims and front facia and had the stripes removed so it looked like the "normal" charger. Suprised many camaros and mustangs on the back roads in Rainelle and Racine west virginia where the Charger ate up those curves posted as "15mph maximum safe speed"

89 S-10 Cameo -- came with full ground effects and looked really cool. Nice platform for my early attempts at stereo installation. Crappy computer that would make the truck die at random added intrigue into the mix since I could never be sure I was going to get to my destination.

94 S-10 Ext Cab -- Nice truck! + Crappy Tires = totaled truck 91 days after buying it :damn:

95 Escort -- It had an airbag. (see above for reason)

97 Contour -- 5 Speed Tranny, power everything. comfortable car on long trips, great milage, VERY reliable car! Never had to have a repair performed on anything. Wish I still had it, to be honest.

01 Focus -- ...

04 Mustang -- Came with MP3 player. Decent milage.

06 Frontier -- Only owned it since Wednesday so too soon to tell...
