On my 2004 King Cab, the driver window had trouble goin' up on some days. I sprayed a little aerosol silicone lube on the window channel, OK now.

installed the amazon window motor on monday, it's been working just fine since. i'll report back if i have any trouble but overall i was very happy with the product. it makes a hair more noise than the OEM motor but with the door panel back on, i can hardly hear a difference. i would recommend this to anyone looking to replace their window motors without hesitation. it took me (and a coworker to hold the glass) about 30 mins from the time we started to finish including stopping for a minute for adult beverages

Old thread, same problem.

If the window is not operating, check for power at the motor. If there is power at that point, the motor is toast. If no power at the motor, check for power at the switch.

Most window switches are easy to crack open, sometimes it is just a burned contact that needs to be cleaned up. Just be careful with little springs that might fall out.

Check for broken wire in harness from switch to fuse. Very common for wire to break right wear it goes from body-door, it gets bent hundreds of times when you open-close door and will break inside the insulation so you cant see the break, must use a multimeter.

I also just had problems with my driverʻs side window motor/regulator. Mine was not the switch. I had 12 Volts to the switch and 12 volts at the motor/regulator so I know the switch was good. I bought a Dorman motor off Amazon for ~55 bucks with free shipping to Hawaii. This unit includes the regulator. I did not know which was the problem and for the price I was able to replace both. The dealership quoted ~$300 plus for just the window motor. Install was quite easy. 4 bolts holding the track. 3 bolts holding the motor/regulator and 2 bolts securing the glass to the track. I did not have to physically remove the window from the door but it did have to be removed from the track. Thanks!!!
