Cold tranny slips?

There is an alarming number of issues with that 9 speed....what a shame.
Such as?

It has some quirks, but I put almost 300k combined miles on a 2007 Frontier and a 2012 Xterra and the 9sp is a huge upgrade.

Even related to this exact topic, that old transmission would slam shift from first to 2nd sometimes if you didn't warm up a minute on a really cold morning and accelerated too quickly.

the issue is trying to quantify different expectations - some feel every pea between the mattresses others just drive it and don't worry about it. You seem to be chasing some magic programming formula that does not exist. You are dealing with subjective opinions.

the 9 speed runs fine for me but i am not coming from a car and my expectations may be different - its a truck use it like one and it loves it - tows beautifully, hauls a load great.

imho its wasted as a grocery getter. Feels like a truck to me.
Never once in my life been behind the wheel of a car with a perfect drivetrain.

You're turning explosions into a torque ratio'd kinetic twisting energy using an extremely complex set of transfers. It's never going to be flawless.

It's awesome these things work as well and last as long as they do. Barely 100 years ago you had to feed your transportation and it **** all over the place.

I'm going to visit my 'new' dealer tomorrow just to say "Hi" and put faces with names. Hopefully I'll have something to share after talking with these guys. Took a short road trip today and everything was fine...........Later.
You're going to go into your dealership just to....talk, and "put faces to names"?

Are you from a different star system?

Can I hitch a ride back with you? It sucks here.
