A couple of us on here have the new Yakima HD stuff... check out the Bedrock HD, Outpost HD or Overhaul HD, those would be their three versions of bed racks of varying heights above the bed (in ascending order, respectively). A little pricey but really nice stuff.

I use the Frontrunner rack for the Tacoma to hold my large RTT. Part number KRTT900T. This assumes you have the factory Utilitrac rails. The rack is designed to work with the smaller Toyota bed rail system but can be easily modified for the Frontier. First step is to enlarge the holes in the risers from 8mm to 3/8" and second, install 3/8" spring nuts in your utilitrac.

If all you want are risers to hold a tent and do not need full rack functionality, you could take a look at KRTT901T which is just the load bars. They would need the same modification.

Bloody, I’m looking for a rack system for my truck and have the diamondback cover as well. Does this mount under the frame rails or is it sitting on top of the cover itself?

..I still really want to be able to fold the panels to a decent degree, which makes me lean more towards the diamondback made system or st least throwing on a set of crossbars that are low profile and you’d find everyday on a vehicle roof rack (think Yakima, Thule or even your typical factory crossbars on most vehicles).

Your knowledge is appreciated!
