My ABS, brake, VDC, SLIP lights came on. I checked the fluid and tried the disconnect the battery trick and they still pop. I took it into my mechanic and he said the module is bad. Unfortunately, they appear to have discontinued those. According to the local dealer I need 47660-9BE0D. Has anyone else run into this same issue with having a part no longer available? It looks like I am not the only one with this part failing.

I read about someone on another Nissan forum that had this issue. They were able to make one from a junkyard work? I would try an online used parts service - like car-part.com or lkq online - find a truck thats the same year and trim as yours, then call and ask them to verify the number? Likely your only option at this point.

RockAuto shows this available: (I'm pretty sure we also have a discount code to RA in the vendor sections)

Thanks for checking. I have a 2011 CC Pro-4x in 2wd and it looks like they made a different module for each configuration (CC, KC, SWB, LWB, 2wd, 4wd, etc.) but I could be wrong on that.

It happen to my friends 2011 SV CC LB 4WD dealer said that its on back order but they still ordered it overnight then up graded to Customer Care to get in front of the line once it does it come available. Did the dealer check Nissan Classic Parts SRS? its a program between dealer on OBS parts. Its a long shot.

I picked up the truck from my mechanic. He said it had codes C1165 and C1140. I looked at the current module and the PN is 47660-ZZ70C. This is very confusing as to which PN to search for. Is the 70C a newer version of the 70A/70B? I see there is a 70D as well. The dealer stated that I need ZZ71D.

Using parts.nissanusa.com for a 2wd Pro-4x based on my VIN it provided the following list of parts:
47660-XXXXX
ZL40B
ZL41B
ZZ70B
ZZ70D
ZZ71B
ZZ74D
ZZ80B
ZZ80D

Can I use any of these or just the exact PN that is in my truck? What the dealer gave me based on my VIN isn't even on the list provided by the nissan website.

Mine is 2011, KC, V6 , manual trans, Pro4-x also has the towing package.
I tried to find a used module , but my search wasn’t successful. Hope you find a spare
I still dont know the Nissan part number decoding but i can’t see having a different module for every configuration and trim level.

However: I would have thought the dealer would have know that, according to them they reached out to Nissan too and all they got was part discontinued with no cross. If it was identical hardware they should have been able to flash it at the dealer, i would think?

Im still looking for the whole ATE / Nissan number decoder ring

There are a few things that can cause an ABS module to fail. The most common causes are:
  • Debris or moisture getting into the sensors.
  • Electrical problems with the module itself.
  • Mechanical problems with the pump or valves.
