Hi, my 2024 Pro 4X (4500 miles) keeps loosing power and the gas pedal does not respond synchronized with my foot , it’s totally out of control. Before this happens, I noticed the truck feels rough, like overworking, even if I the truck is not moving. If I had bubble head toys all over the dashboard, they all will be shaking.

When I turn the truck off for a minute then the gas pedal works again.

No engine light ever comes out.

If this happens again while driving on the fwy, I am screwed because it only allows me to drive at 40mph tops. I can’t drive faster cas de pedal is not responding.

Am I the only one e this problem on a 3rd gen.?

That’s an obvious major failure that can create a serious safety hazard. It’s still under warranty. Why would you even be asking on the internet instead of taking it straight to the dealership?

Hi, I do but didn’t connect it because dash had no check engine light on.
RPM 1000-2000 even stepping all the way down .
Going uphill only let me go 40mph.

Got home, turned it off, and 5 minutes later worked fine again.

What worries me the most is the no engine light coming out . 😳 not even once. If Nissan tells me: “sorry we couldn’t duplicate the problem” , what should I do?

I drove it to the stealer on the streets( afraid of the fwy) but accelerated just fine. (We Frontier owners know the acceleration is not that great 🙄).

If it keeps happening, I will tow it to them from farther and farther away and will make them pay for it.
They can’t say no if the truck only have 4500 miles on it.(1st owner)

5 hrs later they couldn't duplicate the problem and asked for my video .

I let them hove the truck for the weekend plus a couple of extra days. They better find the issue cas if it happens again I’ll be pissed .

Sounds about right Fuzzy but as they say opinions are like -ssholes everyone has one. The dealer knows what it is, they also know Nissan ain't paying for it. You either have to replace the entire computer system or chase it down to what is causing it. We are talking 5 figures here.
Truck is under warranty. Why wouldn’t Nissan fix it for free? (Truck is 1 year old 4500 miles). 🤔
Next time it happens pull your phone out and try to get video of it. Chances are the dealer won't be able to replicate it while you're there and there is no check engine light for them to check so you will want to have something to show them.
I do have a 45 seconds video showing the gauges going crazy. 😎
I might have to edit the audio of myself speaking French 🤬f}#%

Free for who, you maybe it ain't for them. The hope would be a simple software update, on the other hand you may be what they call a 'one-off', meaning it's not become an issue for most. Ergo they ain't gonna even do an update. The other problem is if they have to admit there is an issue and come up with a remedy they'll go the cheap route first with an update and hope that solves it.

Generally a software update solves a lot of issues. But again Nissan has to take a cautionary approach,
because the fear of a 'class action lawsuit'. Even coming up with a software update is admitting there is a problem.

If I'm the legal team for Nissan, I would ask the court that you submit to a psychiatric evaluation.
Dang, I don’t think I’ll pass any psychiatric evaluation. I am screwed.🤪

Hopefully the software update will fix the problem.

sounds like truck is going into limp mode ? any mods you have done lately involving wiring ? running rough before this happens I would guess fuel related like a fuel pump

Truck is 100% stock.
I will post in 3-4 days if the stealer found the issue.

Now there is a record that I dropped it off at Nissan with an electrical issue in case the problem comes back in a week or two. I’ll stay off the fwy for now.

I work for a diesel mechanic shop and I understand how difficult it is to diagnose a problem with no check engine line, specifically when the mechanic can’t duplicate the problem. If it wasn’t for my video, they probably wouldn’t believe me. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think it is ok to ask them to include diag notes in your copy of the RO. WHAT got tested and a clue to how. This not only informs you the customer but forces some accountability vs just being parked on the lot a few days. I would imagine there are ways to test components etc without even starting it or driving and IS what they are doing. If merely waiting for a failure, that may not happen. They could have possibly sent you on your way with data logging if that was the case.

If you still have your trial periods and the appropriate tech - enable the tracking controls in the app. you will know if it moves. Note your miles and DTE estimates.

Those pedals are electric. There's a procedure to resetting the pedal. If that doesn't work you'll need a new module. Not that big of a deal especially if you're under warranty just let the dealership fix it.

Thanks for your reply.
I think the dealer has to be able to duplicate the problem to replace any parts.

If they don’t do anything and I have to take it back, maybe them they will replace parts. I must take another video to have it on record . ( 2 out of 2 for the same issue) Lemon Law will kick in on strike 3.
Next time, I wont turn off the truck and drive it to them or tow it.

The truck also vibrates when the pedal is about to go nuts. Feels like I am driving a 25 years old V8 truck, definitely not a new smooth 2024 vehicle .

My scanner shows pending codes, those type of codes don't cause and check engine light.

Not all scanners show pending codes, those are codes that haven't been confirmed yet, once your truck system confirms them, you get an engine check light.

I like the fix the problem before it gets a engine check light.

DTC pending bank 1 sensor 2
I hope my Nissan stealer owns one and the technician knows how to use it. 🥴
As of right now, they are only keeping my truck over the weekend because I insisted. When they called me they said: “I’ve been driving your truck for 25 minutes and it drove fine “. 🤬.
I am still pissed at the no check engine light. How can the truck limit my top speed to 40 mph and don’t show a code or an orange engine light in the dash? Not even once. It makes no sense .

No offense, but something like this IS NOT going to get solved on the forum or net. Truck is new enough to have Nissan and it's dealer network check it out. If you do not like the results or how one dealership handles this for you, you have the option to visit another dealer or contact Nissan corporate for further remedy/diagnosis procedures. Anyone here can spit ball all the solutions they had in the past or their opinions, but it still comes down to replicating and proper diagnosing in person. Simple as that.

Contacting NHTSA with a complaint and video evidence can also be an option, but being a slow moving organization, you will not got an immediate resolution. Otherwise, lemon law if applicable, or just trade it in, take a loss, and let someone else deal with it.

Thanks Clint 😎,
As stated somewhere above, I wasn’t looking for a solution here at the forum.
I wanted to know if my issue was somehow common and how did someone else dealt with it.

I did get an offer for the truck if I get a new 2025 model, but that was before I got the pedal issue. Pure coincidence since I bought mine exactly a year ago.

I’ll keep the post undated once the dealer let me know what’s the deal. 🤷🏻‍♂️
