Here's a set of traction boards for $68.80. I note the ones I bought from ebay jumped in price to $79.99.

I own 3 of them. Love em. $35 each at Harbor Freight plus I always use a 20% off coupon. I had 2 of them for 3 years and the 3rd one I bought I have had for about a year now. They hold up great. No leaks, no cracking, welds are great, paint is still bright shiny red like the day I bought it. Mind you, when I dont use them. They sit in the backyard until I need them. But they stay outside the whole time. Much recommend them.
Great thank you for the response. Im planning to build a bed rack and some storage for fuel and the Rotopax are just to expensive for my budget. I would rather put that money where it matters, like a winch.
A winch is absolutely handy to have. I wouldnt reccomend plastic. Like the other guy said. He explains that in more detail then me and I would agree with him on that. Also with traction boards if you dont get a winch anytime soon. Dont buy the $200 and up traction boards. I wouldnt buy any of those to be honest with you but heres what I did.

1.
Buy a 2x4 8ft long. Home depot sales them for $4.
2.
Get a used tire, cut it up into 4 sections or maybe even 2 tires. They don't have to be new tires. Junk yard tires will work perfect and will be cheaper.
3.
After you cut the wood up into 4 sections, and the tire. Lay the tire you cut onto the peice of wood and screw the tire down onto the wood.

Now you have a traction board that costed you little to nothing compared to others that sell them $200 and up for only 2 traction boards. And on top of that, tire will stick better to another tire then plastic and you can also spin your tires on the traction board you just made because it wont melt like other plastic traction boards will. Works perfectly. I still keep mine behind the backseat in the truck just in case I need them.
Can you post some pics of your traction pads?

Looking at where you located your D-rings to tie down your net---

If you notice, there are two plastic plugs in the bed wall, underneath them?

Take them out, and you'll find they're hiding two rivet nuts, I believe they are 8mm.
Was just about to post about that. I have an SV with VTP so I have the same bed setup with the spray-in liner and Utilitrack rails.

I bought the factory tie-down points from the local Nissan dealership and the 8mm bolts from a hardware store. I had to use a rethreading kit to clean up the overspray in the threaded holes. But other than that, went easy as pie.

Also for what it's worth, unistrut hardware (bought from Home Depot) fits in the utilitrack rails. I have four Utilitrack cleats, but I don't use them often. I prefer using a Unistrut spring nut with an eyebolt since they are about 90% less bulky.

I have been looking into a bed rack for the Nissan Frontier. I finally found one that I been keeping an eye out on for awhile now. I find a lot for the Tacoma and finally came across this by Rago. The other one I found was discontinued. I emailed Rago just now to see if it would work with a 2018, the website says 2004-2015 Frontiers but I dont know and doesnt look like anything has changed bed wise for the Frontiers.

Also for the tie downs, The reason I drilled to make my own instead of the OEM tie down points is when I installed the bed net, I wanted it to sit the way I wanted it to when I had the Cooler and 3 Jerry Cans in the back without it being over stretched for the bed net so I don't have to put so much weight to pull it to a corning when I need to undo one side if I needed to get something closer to the back of the cab. That was the reason why I did it that way. Hope this helps.

Would a different brand of winch have worked with less cutting of the bumper cover? I'm still mulling building a new bumper for myself with integrated hitch, building a new bumper with a 2" receiver (so a winch could be used on the front or the back, or even on another vehicle depending on need), or going with one of these internally mounted winch holders that sits within the factory bumper. I wouldn't want to notch the painted part like you ended up doing though.

I've also wondered if something that sits behind the upper part of the bumper and partly behind the grille would work or not. There's some stuff that may need relocated for that though.

You dont have to cut as much as I did. I only did it because I wanted to be able to haslve easy access if anything went wrong or winch wasnt working out on the trail or something. Now I opted out of the hitch receiver idea because you will have to run some pretty thick gauge wire to the front and to the rear for switching the winch from front to rear. Next reason is the winch alone is 85 pounds. Then you add in the weight of the hitch mount you slide into the reciever. I personally wouldnt be doing that with my back 90 pounds carrying front to rear or vice versa and then hook the wires up again. Thats just my thoughts on that but its up to you of course. Your rig is your rig and what works for me may not work for you or other and vice versa. I would love to know what you plan to do or if you go with something different that I may even like or someone stopping by on the forums my like better then mine. The other thing I forgot was with a hitch receiver in the front is going to decrease your approach angle pretty dramatically as well. I would assume but not sure depending on the mount for the winch, but it may even decrease your ground clearance and without doubt it will decrease your approach angle. There are after market steel winch bumpers to replace your whole front bumper for a winch and help approach angle better then the stock bumpers like mine at WAM Bumpers.

Went out on the weekend to Ocotillo for camping and overlanding a bit. Had a lot of fun. Everything went great with no issues. Truck did great with no wheelspin or being stuck out in Ocotillo.

I have been looking into a bed rack for the Nissan Frontier.
I've been looking in to this of late as well, and aside from Rago, I also found KB Voodoo (while they have Nissan-specific items, they list the rack as discontinued: this is because they came up a new design that is adjustable in size with the base size based on the dimensions of the truck bed) and RCI Offroad (again, an adjustable design that isn't specific to the Frontier).

Ive seen the VooDoo one and it being discontinued but I didnt know it was due to being a new design thats adjustable. Ill have to check that out more.

Here's the direct link for the 'Max Modular truck bed racks' by KB Voodoo: https://www.max-modular.com/shop-max-modular

The adjustable width 10-inch and 14-inch tall versions (comes in either steel or aluminum-num) should work for Frontiers. Not sure about the 'Taco' branded ones -- they appear to not have an adjustable width, so they're slightly cheaper -- I recall that in the past some bed racks out there for Tacomas could be slightly modified to work with a Frontier, though.
