Was trying to grease my zerk fittings on my 1.5" lift shackles yesterday.
Assumed fitting was a universal size went to take grease gun off,
would not come off,
had to wiggle it off and the zerk came off as well.
Has this happened to anybody else? If so how can it be remedied?
Put zerks back in.
Shackles have only been on since Oct 2016.

Shackle should be threaded Are there any threads on the jerk??? I haven't seen the Daystar shackle but zerks are normally serviceable

I've had my grease gun get stuck on a zero fitting on my lawn tractor, I think it was an issue with the gun not the fitting.

Bought a tractor a few years ago and it has a lot of fittings. Was having problems and searched a tractor forum and learned that the grease gun tips are made to be adjusted and that's why they have knurls on them. Learn something new everyday. Here's a link to the thread. Grease Gun and a Screwdriver

Also if you have a lot of fittings theres something that's called Locknlube that's awesome. Little pricey but I think it's worth it. Do a search in the tractor forum on it.

Thanks for that information, I now know my grease gun tip is adjustable. Live and learn.
