Any one have a good fixes for the z1 exhaust drone around 2k rpm? Drones a little loud, unless this exhaust settles in and drone goes away.

I am considering the Z1 exhaust but have been hesitant due to the drone I've seen reported. I feel like there's a level of subjectiveness on drone. What someone considers drone, someone else might not. Probably why it's isn't overall an issue. I think anyways.

3 options I have come down to:

1. Take it to a muffler shop and have them figure it out based on your specific concern.

2. Easy DIY option and buy a resonator like this Vibrant Performance one. (I'd lean for this option)

3. Not easy DIY option and go full mathematician and build a quarter wave resonator specific to your offending frequency. Check out this video for an example.

Would be interesting to see if you use a similar app and see at what frequency you are hearing it at. Even better if more people chime in and see if the drone is along the same range for everyone.

At the compromise of less gains according to Z1. Looking at peaks, not max gains, with the Nismo you get +5.29 HP/+3.99 lbfâ‹…ft vs the claimed +17.6 HP/17.48 lbfâ‹…ft from the Z1 exhaust.

Although, if one was to install a resonator on the Z1 for example, despite the claim otherwise, it'll likely cut into that gain anyways, so probably better to just go with what sounds the best as a bolt on that doesn't require additional modification.
