How is the Shrock radiator skid supposed to mount if you have the Calmini kit? With the Calmini sway bar brackets, it won't slide behind the sway bar mount in front of the DB. Any ideas and pics???

Do you have pics of your issue so we could see and throw out some ideas? I just had mine off to clean up and repaint today.

The Calmini kit has a sway bar bracket that causes the sway bar bolts to be parallel with the ground, as where factory the bolts are perpendicular to the ground. This bracket prevents the Shrock Radiator skid from sliding behind the sway bar bolts to be mounted. I don't have pics, but I could take some tomorrow if needed. I've PMed a couple guys that have both the Calmini kit and the Shrock bumper and skid and haven't heard anything back yet.

I think some guys are just removing the sway bar completely. My coilovers and UCAs are supposed to go on tomorrow and I'm trying to get this skid plate figured out before then while I have access to am impact gun.

mm, i see. suppose youll just have to wait and see what they come up with if not, just remove the sway bar. With the coilovers you shouldnt really need it. I know theres quiet a few of us on here without them including myself.

can you remove the sway bar, add the skid, then put it back on?

i am reluctant to remove the sway bar as i drive winding highways at 120kph (i'll deny that if you're an RCMP).

LOL zebra. Ill take winding backroads without my swaybar pretty quick too. Prefer not to look at the speedo since on your one side its a cliff. All's good though.

Like zebra said tough try removing the sway bar, install the skid plate, then reinstall the sway bar and see if that works.

The way the bracket is the skid plate can't slide behind it. Once the radflos are on I think I'll just remove the sway bar unless someone has a suggestion.

I Havent Used The Sway Bar For Over A Year And While I Dont Have A Db, The Skid Just Bolts In The Same Place. Why Cant You Bolt In In Front Of The Db And Use Longer Bolts If Needed?

To bolt it in front of the bracket it looks like the skid plate would have to be notched at a minimum. Looks like a lot more work than just removing the sway bar comletely...which is what I'll be doing. Thanks for the help guys.
