Are they for long term use or temporary if you don't mind me asking?

Long term. I have a 2wd and wanting stiffer springs. Greg from prg advised that I take stock 4wd springs and cut 1/2 of a coil changing the spring rate from 525 per inch to 575 if I remember correctly, without altering ride height.
