Just wondering if you looked into the aftermarket one that was an OEM replica?

Side Note: I have no clue if the replica actually worked but I know there was a thread on here in which someone ordered it and installed it but I have no clue if it was worth the cost or not for the quality.

I ordered one of these and installed it. Ordered it from powerfuluk.com in england. i think it was around 400$ shipped. I also had to get some brackets from nissan that it bolted into on the inside. It looks just link the OEM one now that i have the FRONTIER decals on it.

Its a lot of work and money, but you wont regret it. i use mine all the time to haul my canoe.

I just got a quote from Powerful UK at 250 pounds and 60 pounds to ship to the USA. At current rate, that's $512 to the USA!

There is a rack on eBay for $450 shipped thats used and looks to be faded. I emailed the seller to ask about getting additional pictures and they told me that it was packaged to ship already. For $450, I think I could cut some tape and take some pics... So, for that kind of money, I'd just spend the extra $60 and get new... I just wanted to throw it out to everyone that I am on the hunt...

...I also had to get some brackets from nissan that it bolted into on the inside...
So those factory brackets don't go on the OUTSIDE of the roof, but you put them on the inside for strength? Where'd you get your hardware and is it stainless?

The brackets or mounts go on the inside under the liner for strength and for something for the roof rack to screw into.

went to lowes and got the hardware, they are stainless

if you order the rack fro powerfuluk they will give rivnuts to install it with...they seemed weak and the only thing it was attaching to was the sheet metal roof...so if you want it to stay put and be strong buy these mounts. and use bolts.

You can find the brackets here...
http://www.courtesyparts.com/frontie...5002_5018.html

they are factory parts and are the mounts Nissan uses to mount the rack on the LE's or the nismo's.

Here's the part numbers too..

[73823N] REINFORCE-ROOF RACK,FRONT LH
[73822N] REINFORCE-ROOF RACK,FRONT RH
[73824] REINFORCE-ROOF RACK,REAR RH
[73825] REINFORCE-ROOF RACK,REAR LH

also wanted to say that those mounts fit perfectly with powerfuluk's rack. if you decide to use these and bolts let me know and i can find the exact bolt size you will need.

Hey thanks man... You've answered a lot of questions.

I've been doing research on the forum here and it seemed that the guys that have done the mod aren't active users anymore. It kind of threw man that the one guy said those brackets went underneath the rack and on top of the roof or something!!!?? But, you have cleared it up that I can use those on the inside of the roof.

So if you have an 05-10 Roof Rack, lemme know!
