aside from the nissan dealer screwing up,scratching my door panel and repainting the door without telling me,an agency in toronto called omvic is helping me even tho they cant force the dealer to do anything,we are slowly getting results, the dealer decided last week to sent it to a 3rd party bodyshop to get there opinion, the bodyshop suggested the door be wet sanded and polished to get the orange peel out,and mentioned the replaced window has a slightly larger gap than factory. The dealer had the truck for a week, when i got it back it looked the same,i honestly believe they didnt touch the truck, anyways now omvic told me to bring the truck to this 3rd party bodyshop and they will repair the door and bill the nissan dealer, when i dropped the truck off today the bodyshop owner and i noticed at the top of the door under the window is a darker shade of silver its really noticable in the sun.The owner of the bodyshop agreed the service manager or gm at the nissan dealer should have stepped up and compensated me some how.Needless to say i will never service my truck again at this nissan dealer, but unfortunately i found out today since i purchased the undercoating when i bought the truck,i have to get the undercoating inspected every yr at this dealer,i cant go to another dealer that sucks

the gentleman from omvic told me the only way to fight for some monetary settlement is thru civil court,a litigation lawyer runs 250/hr.extremely expensive,my advice to others when you have warranty issues go and watch how they perform the job, because you mite end up with someone screwin up your nice new truck

There is a BBB in canada, but it's a joke. Its kinda like Carfax. It's only good if you're registered. You'd have better luck getting a bunch of friends together and picket on the dealers lot with "THIS DEALER SCAMMED ME" written on signs. Before you know it you will have media attention. Then the dealer is likely to do something. I've seen it happen twice here in Winnipeg.

went to the 3rd party bodyshop today, and he explained to me the window will have to be taken out again than put in again to get it close to factory,in order to correct the darker shade of silver paint at the top of the door the door will have to be repainted, leaving them no choice but to repaint the drivers door to,to blend it properly,i asked the guy how much will this cost,he said 600-800 bucks.I explained to him before we do anything the gentleman from omvic has to contact the nissan dealer, and explain its more than a polish job, either they pay the bodyshop bill,or i accept the truck the way it is and they credit me 700 bucks,i have a feeling the dealer is not gonna go for it,they refused to compensate me anything a month ago,see what happens i will keep ya posted

I think they will agree to pay to get this corrected and behind them.

the guy from omvic,he is helping me deal with this dealership, told me today the nissan dealer would give me a 850 dollar in store credit,he refuses to cut me a check to resolve this issue instead of repainting again,to do the repaint properly my drivers door would have to be repainted as well to blend the 2 doors properly,i really dont want them touching my truck again.anyways i went into the dealership today, the service manager was caught of guard,of course he told me they were willing to give a monetary credit from the beginning of this problem back in june,i said thats odd you never offered me anything, anyways he explains he will give me this 850 in store credit,i said no i want a cheque because after all this i will never come back here for service,he said he will run it thru his superiors and get back to me by thursday,i believe its another game to stall for time,if i dont get any response by thurs i will go into the parts department and spend every cent on accessories

If they mark up their prices by 50% the $850 credit isn't actually $850 to them.

dont buy those, I'll sell you a used set of sliders though. Need some hadrware, but you can get that at bolts+ or Brafasco, or call Shrock. Entertain me with an offer. Bottom of them could use a coat of paint as the powder coat is scraped off.

i waited for the service manager to get back to me about getting approval from the dealership general manager to issue a cheque for 850 dollars,i phoned him today and the service said the gm refuses to give a cheque or a in store credit,i truly believe because i had problems with the dealership when i bought the truck in august 2009,the truck had scratches in the bed,a scratch on the body,2 door dings on the passenger side, they ultimately took 1000 dollars off the price because i refused delivery, this is the gm's way to screw me.Last week the service adviser promised a 850 dollar in store credit, now they decide to give me no compensation whatso ever,i have exhausted every way possible to fight them,i dont have money for a lawyer, classic example of the small guy losin

curious...are there attorneys there that would work pro-bono and also if you were to win, which it sounds like you would, you could always add attorney fees to the settlement. It's a shame it's gone this far though...
