I have a 05 crew cab & my front driver window motor went out anyone know a good place to pick one up? So far I've had no luck with the local salvage yards but still looking around for one

Not sure where to find one used, but they are about $200 new.

Anyone know if the rear driver window motor will work for the front driver window?

my '06 went out it had 65k miles. there are too many variables to a car to just blame the age...

hey, have you checked ebay? and are you sure its the motor and not the switch?

All my windows are slower in the cold weather.
Put some dry lube in the window tracks like Teflon or silicone.
It's kind of like regular maintenance on my truck, like lubing hinges and such.
funny enough I just did that this weekend to my 2 front windows on my X. however I found in my case that the Teflon didn't work as well as the silicone. But yeah it looks like it's going to be a regular maintenance thing.
Ironically my dad just bought a 2010 altima this weekend and the windows are slower then mine. we went to the dealership and tested a couple of others, they all varied but they were all pretty slow. when we tested the new Altima vs his 02 Altima there was more than a second difference. don't seem like much but the motor just seems more powerful. In the mornings the old Alitma is unaffected the new Altima the windows are so slow you almost think you are going to have to help them up.
I kind of wonder if Nissan went with a cheaper part and this is the result. I know the Z guys have major problems with their windows.

My buddies got an old 90 Suburban. When you roll up the windows they sometimes need a little help. Meaning grab the top of the window and pull up as the motors are so slow.

ya im pretty sure its the motor didnt get to put silicone in the tracks soon enough but before it stopped completly the motoe was whining and sounding ROUGH im still windowless just aitn got the money for a new one $200 is CRAZY for that little motor im hoping sometime soon to take the door panels off see if I can switch the front/rear motors for a temporary fix

and im pretty sure maxima sentra pathy frontier all share the same motor, 1st or second gen

Yes I did I am going to call them before I order the part just to double check since it will have to be shipped from the west coast and I can just run in and exchange it if need be. Thanks for the link 1stNissan
