have you had a chance to use it off road?
Unfortunatly its only been on my truck for about 5 hours now, so not yet....
have seen the harbor freight ads. have one here in the atlanta area. was going to ask on here if anyone has had any luck (good or bad) with the winches....
Wheel it!!

Well jump on it!! You gotta trail test it so I know if it is worth getting that winch. I know you get what you pay for but I hear Harbor Freight is great at returns.Lemme know if it was worth the money. If not, I'll go Warn or Ramsey.
i also have heard great things about Harbor Freight winches.
My buddy has the 8000lb on his lifted jeep J10 for about a year now, works great! Thats why I bought mine... He said there are pictures of the Chicago electric winches being made in the same factory as ramsey...

BUT, toyota gas pedals are made at the same factory as hondas...

Nice buy, let us know how it handles once you get stuck :).
I found my buddys mazda tribute in the school parking lot today, winched him out of his parking spot (he has a 5 speed in gear ebrake on...) pulled him out of his spot tires screetching no problem, I have a pretty nice optima too, that might help.

Its a 2004 v6 awd tribute.... Im proud, now we have to have the real offroading test

Why would you do that??
I would to that to someone if they stole my spot on campus as I was pulling in in reverse... Its happened twice but I have no winch :(

That turned out great dude!!!

I started drawing a bumper for you and just got busy with school etc...sowy
I wanted his parking spot haha, I finally got to use it last night, I was going over a 6ft snow pile, got high centered at the very top, Kinda teetered back and forth then sunk into the drift up to my lower doors.. I pulled out the winch like (about 60ft) and tied to a little baby pine tree... (all that was in reach). Probably a good 7in diameter trunk. after about 5 min I was over the snow drift and headed up a hill. I also saw'd about 1/4 the way through the tree trunk, I feel bad because I probably just broke all the vascular cambium layers....
tree hugger! Next time take your tow strap or something and bundle it up and stick it in between.
**** i aint no liberal.... It was at a public park where kids play haha...
douche
yea, kinda messed up on my part... The park is covered in a foot of snow so i cut them little paths..
Hahaha...That totally justifies everything then.
