As far as I know only one has been dyno tested by a member, and that was the aFe Revenedbiker tested www.reverendboker.com. Other than that all I've seen are the claims by the manufacturers and I sure wouldn't count on them being accurate!

K & N 77 Series Intake

I have the K&N 77 Series CAI installed. It took me about an hour to install... and i am nothing but happy with it. Gas mileage has gone up about 1.5-2 mpg, which is a big difference when your only getting 9 or 10mpg to begin with. The engine genereates much more power at higher rpms- and at low rpms it is noticeable too. The sound is awesome at about 2500rpm- a real low deep sound. I would reccomend this to anyone interested in buying a CAI for their frontier.

I talked to the guys at 4 Wheel Part the other day, and they recommend the 63 series. They also said that the 63 series units are non-smog legal awaiting approval. So most likely in a year, they will be smog legal in all states. When that occurs, all one has to do is request the sticker and K&N will send it.

Also, I love mine. The sound is incredible and the power over the stock unit is almost unbelievale. Can't say anything about improved gas mileage, because I am on the throttle so much.

I would have to take Reverendbiker's opinion on this!! I think with these intakes it comes down to availabilty, name, and price. The performance is 6 to one half a dozen to the other!!

I too would agree with Reverendbiker, but they are claiming the Injen gets 10 more hp than the Volant. I think it was Jason that made this statement. I asked for a dyno
test, but he has never produced it.

I also contacted Volant to respond to this claim with a dyno test of the Volant or a
comparison with the Volant and the Injen. Nothing from there either. My bet would
be that there is little if any difference between them.

I don't know if any of you heard of the company AEM. They've made the best (IMO) intakes for sport compact cars for a long time. They are about to release their line of truck intakes (Brute Force) for the Frontier. I may be leaning toward this company's intake because of prior experience.

Check 'em out!
