hi, i am getting ready to change my rear differential fluid in my 02 desert runner. i know it was a lsd on it. and i am wanting to go with mobil 1. now they have 2 options. a 75w 90 and a 75w 140 and both contain lsd additives. and i have never had to change a differential before so i have no idea which one to go with. and i am asking you guys for help. and also i live in florida if that helps and also my truck is my daily driver. i don't do an off roading or towing. thank you. and also. does any one have an expericance with mobil 1 atf in a frontier?

I'm not sure which weight your truck calls for but someone will probably chime in. If not, the parts counter guy should be able to look it up or you could probably do it on autozone.com or other like sites.

As for the m1, I am using the 75w90 in my 07 c200k and it has held up great. When I did the standard d/f around the 20k mark, it looked great so I would recommend it to others.

Some may suggest Amsoil or RedLine or etc... It is all up to you and what kind of change intervals you are going to follow. Also, some fluids are harder to find and must be ordered so it is sometimes hard to change the fluid as a quick weekend project, you have to plan ahead.

Go to Amsoil.com. They have charts of recommended fluids. I used 75/90 Amsoil w/some "no slip" additive in my '01 lsd. No complaints. Highly recommend Amsoil for the auto tranny, also.
