Not sure if this is in the correct forum but as the title implies, where would I be able to purchase some stock paint. I cracked one of the front bumper pieces really bad and purchased a replacement piece. I just need some red alert paint. Is the dealership the only place, or is there an online store i can purchase the same paint from? I dont know where to begin to start looking so any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Try Dupli-Color. You can get it at many, if not most, auto parts stores. Go to their website to figure out what the part number is before you go.

Find a Dupont paint dealer they will match the shade of your paint code to your vin #. So the match will be perfect. Many people don't know but there is up to 20 different shades of each color. Like my trucks paint code is A15, but when you enter it in the computer to get the mix it may have up to 20 more options like 5 different shades of more yellow, red, blue etc. What happens is everytime the factory mixes a new batch of paint it comes out a little different, so they end up with a new variance. I heard that paint manufacters suchs as PPG and Lesanol were working on getting the vin# match, but I'm not sure if they have gotten it since I quit doing body work. My suggestion is Dupont for an as close to perfect match as you can get.

I picked up some touch up pain and the dealer told me the company that makes it. It is one of the bigger companies. They told me that if you give them the code... they can mix a batch. I dont think it was Dupont
