Hello,

I need a new front Cat for my 2006 4 cyl. frontier. At the dealership, they are charging $501 plus $25 for gaskets and a few dollars more for new bolts. Geez...you would think these things are made out of platinum or something (lol)!!

Is there anywhere else I can get the exact part for cheaper than the dealership? I usually get my parts from the dealership mainly because I know that I will get exactly what I need.

Find a local muffler shop. My old Wrangler had a completely shot exhaust system as was usual on them. Dealership wanted $300+ just for the cat. I ended up getting an entire new exhaust from just after the headers for under $240 installed. The dealer will always screw you on price.

Not sure if you know this or not but the emissions warranty is 8yrs/80k so if you are below that, its free.

Thanks Dubbie...I'm under the eight years but over the 80k by quite a bit. I'll check some more shops, but my local garage (whom I trust very much) is asking quite a bit for the replacement.

If anyone has specific websites that they have gone to and trust for Nissan parts, please let me know.
