I bought my truck used in February with 27k miles on it and now have about 35k. I have been either changing or have the engine oil changed every 3k miles without a hitch. But I just started thinking about all the other fluids. Do these have regular change intervals? Or do I leave them alone unless there is a problem? This is my first 4x4. I checked the Nissan Service book thing, and depending on the level of maintenance some change the diff and AT fluid regularly and the others don't at all. Just wondering what the general consensus is. Thanks.

Trans flushed at 30 but will drain and fill every 15k from now on. Diff every 20k or so. Engine every 5k (syn).

Since you are 4x4, you have a Tcase and a front diff. I would do both every 20k or less.

A fail safe method I use is every spring do all fluids. Some might think it's a bit too much, but I have never had a tranny, tansfer case, or diff go on me yet.

I like your idea. Every year might be a bit over kill for me but maybe every 2 years for fluids except for engine oil. Would that be sensible for front/rear diff, tcase, and transmission? What about coolant? Thanks.
