That is the ECM under your seat.

Your cabin air filter is behind the glovebox. You need to remove the glovebox to access it. Some frontiers already have the HVAC box cut to fit the 2 cabin filters but some don't. I had to mod my box. There are 2 slots you can cut out with a razor knife. They are pretty thin plastic which tells me that the dealer cut this open if you checked the cabin filter option when buying the truck.

Thanks for the info on the cabin filter Jiffycake, I'll check that out.As for the ECM are you sure thats it? I downloaded the manual off this site and according to the electronic control section page 135 the ECM is behind the dash at the bottom of the console. They even show a drawing of it in relation to the gas pedal. If I had the time I'd take out the seat and see if that thing has a part number. Also noticed yesterday the previous owner removed the inner fender baffle that goes to the intake.

My bad. The old nissan hardbodies had the ecm under the passenger seat so I assumed that it was still under the seat on the frontiers.

Are you sure you don't have ABS? I thought it was standard on all versions of the truck. I checked the factory service manual and that's the only module it shows under the driver's seat.

youre right. when i looked under the hood, i didnt see the abs pump like on other trucks,i assumed it didnt have abs. i looked on the dash and the abs light is there. i tried my best to lock em up, couldnt do it. i never realized how good this truck stops.

You don't see the abs junk under the hood because it is only standard rear wheel abs. Rear wheel abs is all you really need though, I have found.

If you look under the truck at the rear axle you can see the hall sensor on the driveshaft for the abs, as well as some other abs wiring stuff under there.
