Need input on steering gear box for my '02 SC CC. I've heard bad stories about some of the rebuilt replacements. I don't want to create more of a problem than the play in the box I have. Thanks!!

Pretty much anything you find outside of genuine Nissan is going to be remanufactured. Any time you deal with remanufactured, it's always a gamble, but most are generally pretty good. Looking at the choices at Rockauto.com, the AC Delco # 36G0210 is the only one that carries a limited-lifetime warranty and at $167.99 (note including core or shipping charges), is in the middle of the price range of those offered. The other options have 1-3 year warranties. If the hoses are due for replacement, Rockauto has them, too.

Thanks. Seems like they should cost more than that. I guess I'll give it a try and see what happens. I just ordered a pressure hose due to leaking. The return is the only thing I haven't done.

Cardone A-1 remans usually go for around $250 at the local auto parts stores, plus tax. If you want to pay more, you can still get new from Nissan for around $1400 online!
