Not a good week for silver Frontiers! I got whacked by an unlicensed chick driving her boyfriend's rental Kia - never even slowed down at the stop sign. Oh... and his license was suspended too, and he hadn't paid for the rental. Luckily my damage wasn't nearly as bad. It just sucks when people are so careless and destroy your stuff. There's no doubt yours can be fixed unless there's some really weird hidden damage.

I recently was in an accident and lost my Frontier. It was a very sad couple of days. Yours can be fixed but it might cost a pretty penny. Keep your head up man.

Just be thankful no one got hurt.

I wrapped an S10 around a pole on black ice. Pretty much my fault. I thanked the Lord that I did not hurt anyone else. Vehicles can be replaced but humans cannot.

Although I would be crying too.

I would say its totaled.
Make HER insureance find you a suitable replacement. then buy your truck out of salvage. Honestly, your truck isn't damaged that bad, just the damage is beyond the 75% rule most insurances have.
There is a recent episode of trucks where they revive a silverado with similar damage.

i dont get this post? do you know how insurance adjusters decide wether its totaled or not? if a vehicles repair job net worth is more than the vehicle is worth. they total it.

Thats the 75% item he talked about.

I have to ask, how much would the truck be worth on KBB before the crash? If the repairs cost more then 75% of that, then it will probably be totaled since it isn't worth it to the insurance company to fix the truck. Also, the 75% seems about right since the repair usually costs more then what the quote is to start with since there is always something left off the original quote.

I had this almost happen on my old cavalier. The original repair was 3600 but that didn't fix it all and the end result was 6k on a car that was only worth 5k-ish before the crash. It was on the cusp of totaled or not but once work started, they couldn't stop without being out more then just fixing it would cost.
