I bought a kit from Harbor Freight that has all the sizes in one box for like 8 bucks. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=92300 It depends on your soldering skills. I usually put a piece that is not that much bigger than the size of the wire its going on, but if your solder gets to be too thick then you can't slide it over it. Also, don't let the solder iron get too close to the piece of heat shrink tubing or it will shrink too soon. I had that happen a couple times.
