When I first got my truck 05 Nismo, the computer gauge states the my Distance To Empty (DTE) was 320 miles. Now everytime i fill up it only goes to roughly 210-230 DTE. This is when i pretty much empty my tank then fill up. So i would like to know what DTE's are you guys getting.

The dte depends on what mpg you were getting before you filled it up.

So, heavy on the pedal right before fill up, low dte. Right off the freeway and cruise control, higher dte.

My DTE is always between 320-330. But as outlandr said it has to do with the mpg before you fill up and I'm almost always at the same mpg.So if you reset the mpg before you fill up the DTE should say around 340, at least on my truck.

Up until recently my MPG was pretty steady at around 14.5. Now at about 4500 miles on the odometer it has crept up to 15.4. When I fill up my dte says 290 or so but I usually can only pull about 275 miles off of a tank of gas probably because I have been idleing my truck a little more lately since it has been so cold.

This is with a CC Nismo with an automatic.

Pretty much the same situation i'm in but a lot of city driving probably affects my mpg and dte more than i want it to. Thanks for the response guys.

@24k I get about 290 miles out of a tank. It never even got past 250 until I put mobile 1 in it. That helped the most. Keeping OD off 90% of the time helps too. I'm a fireman though, so my fuel econ is directly related to how many fires I have to go speeding to. It's an 05 NISMO KC

I am getting about 14.5 with a full tank at around 270-280. I am geting a tonneau cover so i hope that will help alittle and I am trying to change my driving habits. I hope that once we get off the winter fuel and the truck also doesnt have to warm up i will be getting back to the 18-19 mpg and 300+ fill ups. I have just over 2400 miles on the thing and I havent been able to get up over 15 since last november. Any recommendations to help get a little better mpg? I cant spend much money now, trying to save it for some trips this summer.
